  1. Nice one Simon. I think Weihrauch have got certain things right on there springers, such as piston diameter, piston weight, swept volume etc, which is lacking in too many current rifles. Seems to be why Walther LGV is getting a name for itself. The internals have the right spec, combined with higher tolerance and generally better machined internals. The 99 is a cracker. But to put the record straight I have no children the kiddies 99 is all mine
  2. Nice one Simon. I've got a big respect for the Weihrauchs, after recently purchasing a hw99 in .22, yes the internals are not as high spec as Air Arms or Walther, does it matter? Not that I'm noticing, same size groups from my 99 as I had from my prosport. No twang smooth cocking and little recoil despite my first impressions of the internals. The 77, 95, 97 and 99's are great guns for the uk market, as in sub 12FPE.
  3. Ey up folks. I've some H&N FTT's in .22, looking to swap around 100 for jsb exacts or accupels in .22 Cheers
  4. Don't fall into the trap of which one is better VM. Have you seen the guy martin program where it's an F1 car vs a superbike? That is the .22 vs .177 cal debate all over, where really, they aren't meant to be compared.
  5. Fookin bargain that mate, I think Jimmy bigmac should get on this he would love it
  6. Seems like a fair set of results, what you would expect from the heavier pellets. Would have been better with a heavy weight pellet thrown in there....
  7. Nice. Mackerel feather through the bottom of my foot. My mate had a size 18 stuck in his eye after walking behind me whilst I was overhead casting a 2oz feeder. The worst was a mate who climbed a thin tree, which had two main limbs one which was stumped, he fell out of the tree and I kid you not put a hole in his ball sack.
  8. After recently selling my beloved prosport I have been really enjoying my new hw99s in .22. A proper fun gun straight out of the box, a million miles away from the .177 version that I had last year. If I were to go down the .177 route again though my money would have been on a Walther lgv. No doubt about it.
  9. Good to know Simon. They are not my local shop but chances are I would have come across them in the future being from West Yorks and all.
  10. You won't go far wrong with a Cortland 444. Tried and tested lines well worth the money, not some experimental crap.
  11. Mate. Sounds like a cracking book. One for the Xmas list I reckon. Bit early to be thinking about that though!
  12. Smart that Mark. If I'm ever passing Wigan I'm coming to yours for lunch
  13. Haha I say the same to myself all the time. I think you have opened up something good though. The only discussion about washing pellets I've seen is what people think it does rather than what it does. What would be awesome is chrony data downrange. I think you could prove something with that. I've only got a chrombro so I'm out lol
  14. Nice one matt. So more consistent, only slightly more power. Here's a thought, the washing increases the ballistic coefficient. Surely the only explanation for such a big POI difference considering such a small increase in velocity
  15. Anyone used them/there seals? Any good?
  16. Deffo will do cc. I've already got the tbt kit (would you recommend polishing this too?) Not the vortek seal though, deffo something I was thinking about, do you know where I can get one from?
  17. Sound, easily done bud. After all that it's still not a bad retention considering, it provides a solid middle ground between the two more popular cals.
  18. P.s. Just found a value of .030 for the .20 exact here: http://www.photosbykev.com/wordpress/userfiles/pelletdata.htm
  19. Rez, the bc of the .20 seems extremely high which will explain the result's you are getting I reckon, are you sure it's correct?
  20. Nice one Rez. I wonder if it would change much if they were all on the same power to start with? What is the bc of the 3 pellets in question
  21. Whatever happens good luck with it. I find it very harsh penalty, especially when they pull someone carrying cannabis they just confiscate it and that's a drug ffs.
  22. I haven't yet bud but hopefully I will be getting over to Halifax range that goes out to 42m so I will give them a try then What sort of range did push them out to?
