  1. I'm having one of these instead: http://www.remington.com/products/firearms...del_700_CDL.asp
  2. No A-bolt .243s are imported in left hand versions.
  3. It would be nice if I could get an A-Bolt in .243 left hand.
  4. That stainless mod looks good. What's it like compared to a T8 or P8 noise reduction and price wise?
  5. My lad's only 5, but as soon as he is old enough , he'll be walking the fields with me.
  6. Don't sell your gear mate, move to North Yorks. I just got my latest variation back today. I only posted it last tuesday evening. The previous one took about 3 days.
  7. Given that you don't reload, and you have a shortage of ammo, I think It's time for a change. I still can't understand why your farmer (?) won't let you use a .223????
  8. I will be buying a Remington 700 .243 in the very near future. I have been looking for the "right gun" for some time, and all things concidered, this is it. If I had to make a choice between Sako and Tikka (and I could afford a Sako) it would have to be Sako. They are made by the same company, but the Tikka is the "Budget version". Tikka are good for accuracy but over priced for their build quality. Remmy 700, Win 70, Sako 75, all good guns, take your pick.
  9. My variation is back now after 1 week. .243 will be purchased soon.
  10. You should find that the .22 shot shells are many times better in a smooth bore (It sounds like that's what you have) than a rifle. Most of the people who try them fire them through a rifle, which is not what they are designed for, hence the poor reviews.
  11. Let us know how you get on with it, and get some pics up when it arrives. ATB James
  12. It's better. You'll get used to it, trust me.
  13. My boss has a Howa .223, bullet on bullet at 100yds with Hornady 40gr BT or federal V-Shok.
  14. That's disgusting! I'm in North Yorks and mine took about a month. My last variation took 2 days.
  15. only one tip, NO SOFT POINTS. Go for HP or BT. See http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index...30&start=30. From post #33. Good luck
  16. Hornet but not .223, like it really makes that much difference. I'm doing the same re. the .243. I can't afford both (I can't afford either yet) so it's one-for-all this time. Variation is in.....next stop Remington 700 CDL left hand .243.
  17. I hope it's who you think it is guys, otherwise you might just have upset someone.
  18. Parker Hale or Sak mod, both around the £30 mark . ASE Ultra-£60ish
  19. Desbo, try yellow pages mate . :11:
  20. My mate had a Sweet 17, didn't get on with it, and changed it for a Bushnell. It's all about personal choice.
