Front sight removed and cover in place, rear sight removed and red dot fitted. Now for 1/2" groups @ 95 yards. ?

I knew today was going to be a good one, I have been granted a second permission for my .22lr. A nice 2 acres of private garden which is set in the middle of 50 acres of farm land, and its only 9 miles form home! Several adjoining land owners of similar size also have Rabbit problems and my FLO said he wont need to visit, he only requires their consent forms. My land owner is seeing them today. He also know the farmer and we are paying him a visit soon! I guess the polished shoes, ironed trousers and smart shirt do win over seeking permission wearing camouflage gear

Remove birds to a "hospital" cage and Creosote. (Not CREOCOTE!)

Anyone pick up on the .22lr for Fox @ 22 mins in? Not if my FLO has anything to do with it!
-
My thoughts exactly!

What about the Silenced .22lr @ 25 minutes in? The guy says it almost silent but it sounded like a small canon, as did the 2 other shots from different calibre rifles shot before hand. Must have been edited? Anti-shooting BBC making out there is a noise problem from rifles?

This is my routine. 1 hour (after warm-ups) 3 times a week. I've used it for years and it has worked for me, not really changed much (except for Olympic chains on all the exercises, one week on one week off) 49 years of age 5` 7" Chest 48" Bicep 17" Thigh 24" Waste 32" Bench 235lbs Squat 335lbs Dead Lift 340lbs Press Behind Neck 140lbs :-)

Full! For a beginner, Squats, Bench Press, Dead Lift, Press Behind Neck. In that order, 4 sets of each @ 12 reps, Mon, Wed, Fri. Heavy as possible!!! As soon as you can complete 4 sets at 12 reps, increase the weight and repeat!

"As for googling for the answer, well not everyone is any good with a computer, I have to rely on my missis or do things the old fashioned way". Anyone using this site is on a smart phone/laptop/PC/tablet or internet enabled device and will have enough knowledge or help to use Google/www./find a web page or, how did they find this site in the first place/complete the application process/become a member/post a reply to a topic? A question as to "what is the limit of my rim fire/air rifle/ammunition/skill" to me spells a wish to "use" that said equipment to, or outside of its limits. My own

Because the information is on Google! Anyone who has an Air gun down loads Hawke ChairGun or similar. And I usual find the "can I shoot/kill a Fox/Rabbit with a Peashooter/Air Pistol or at 1000 yards" to have tried or will attempt to try to do so! Just my opinion and what I make of "these" type of questions, many of which I have come across during my 40 years as a shooter!

I wouldn't worry about energy left of pellet drop, the smallest gust of wind will put you several feet off target!

Depth 196mm? Mine is 270mm and a 50mm scope (Anschutz 1417, Webley Patriot & HW100) just fits, at a push a 56mm would go in. Go for as big as you can, just in case that can`t do with out barging turns up! It took me 3 safes before finally getting it right! (plus this one has a 6mm door and 3mm sides not, 3mm and 2mm as in the next model down!) http://www.uttings.co.uk/p109114-buffalo-river-q4122-silver-series-gun-safe-10-gun-black-q4122/#.VWYNGGfbLIU

England Anyone Been Highclere Game Fair
David Aiken replied to dark-destroyer-85's topic in Gamefairs, Meet Up's and Events
It was good a few years ago, but way to commercial now, loads of clothes stalls all selling the same goods. One gun stand!! (you would think there would be dozens) But as the show is full of wont `a` be shooters with no FAC or SGC I guess what's the point? Every stall has massive discounts, take your phone, check eBay, its always cheaper! Even the stall/display layout doesn't change! -
How Many Rounds Do You Use In A Year?
David Aiken replied to David Aiken's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Yes to cycling the bolt on my .22lr and double checking the HW100 after a magazine is emptied. It come as second nature to me as dose opening my shotguns as I take them out of the safe or gun slip, (even though I checked them when they were put away). When I hand a gun to someone, even my Webley Tempest although they have just seen my visual check I expect there own inspection to take place. I maybe a "newbe" to my FLO but have been a regular shooter for 40 years catching Rabbits with ferrets and shooting with shotguns and rifles with my Grandfather and uncle. (my uncle was 27 years in the Bri -
How Many Rounds Do You Use In A Year?
David Aiken replied to David Aiken's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Ha Ha! I wish! The scope which came with the Rifle was used for a week (zeroed in) Followed by a new scope also zeroes in so a few extra rounds were used. Just under 40 Rabbits so far. I know I am lucky in that I can (and have time) shoot on my permission daily. Now all zeroed in and the suns out I will shoot early morning until late evening 2 maybe 3 times a week. I have one friend who gets through 150 to 200 shotgun cartridges on a weekend almost every weekend plus vermin and Pheasant shooting. Another friend who's had his licence 2 years and when I asked if he wonted to come and pick up som -
How many rounds do you use in a year? This may or may not be the case for all FLO`s, but mine did say the amount of ammunition used will go (as well as experience and field craft of course) towards an open ticket being granted. Is what I hear true and some people who own a Rifle hardly shoot? I mean, I received my .22lr ticket the first week in May and have used 400 rounds. My HW100 I guess 2 tins of 500 pellets? As for my shotgun 100-150 per week, some time more if I visit a few Clay Grounds. I know the .22lr is new, but with shooting holidays and range days I expect to average 200-300 pe

I had someone go in the back of my Jeep. Not my fault but my insurance company accused me of driving in a dangerous location!! My insurance jumped from £395 to £750! I did shop around for a new quote, but now a fault or none-fault accident are classed as the same!

Well, that didn't last long! Yes to short eye relief, and the edge to edge view wasn't nearly as good as the Hawke! The Nikko didn't even get fitted before being sent back. I have found a supplier who has the Hawke 4-12x x 50 Panorama AO ir 10x Mill in stock. This is the HK5171 NOT the 67 (which I have seen some selling as a HK5171) which is MAP6.
