  3. Batteries prices where pretty low Alough lead was at a good price, bright stripped wire was a good price and light iron had made a slightly incline in price when I went and checked yesterday

But when it high prices everyone and there mother is out collecting scrap and you never see much about, who are the Africans you talking about are they running there own yard or something ? exsport there around everywhere. Well no more as its gone to shite when i tip im done for the day unless a big job im not a 2 or 3 load a day chap lolOh right, I just mix the light metal its my heavy and weight in as heavy anyway as long as you don't have to much light in there you'll get away with it

  9. ive got a thing for getting hold of batteries I love scrapping them, doesn't take many to have a decent weight

Yes golf cart batteries will weigh in, as will all lead acid battery's, make sure you sort your copper out and seperate all the brass fittings and seperate any soldered joints and keep them seperate brass or it will be classed as braziers copper and the soldered joints need to go in a senate pile for dirty copper

Copper isn't exaclty a bad price at the moment, what sort of copper do you have and what location are you and what price are you getting currently clean copper, got a good few bags, i like it when I'm doing a job in Scotland, get cash and a better rate Oh right didnt know Scotland was still cash, thats all good then, the amount of times ive turns up to scrap yard and had to go back and forth beacuse I keep having the wrong or not enough to documents or id was making me feel like not bothering but when I got a nice big cheque going back three times was worn it Naha that was last time

Agree with you there however I can afford to hang on to it for a year or two so not bothered it's more heavy aswell so I will weight it in as heavy, and I agree not many people out collecting as the most of them are all just people who seen metal money signs and wanted the extra cash not many will still be out Wich like you said for me and you is spot on

Scrapping isn't exactly my full Time job but use my yard to buy and sell metals, I guess you are making that much money with your proper job you don't need to do anything else on the side I was just joking no need to get so defensive mate, think mot people have had the odd weigh in Wasn't meaning to be defensive, it's just with the other post taking th piss I assumed you was aswell

  19. Ayah one else still collecting scrap, I have four storage containers full of mixed metal wating for the price to go back up before i start weighing in agian, copper brass lead and batteries I'm still weighing in, prices are ment to be low on ferrous metals for a while now

Thank you, yes Ive been advised plenty of rest when he's home and to keep in in a big dog cage and they are giving me a sling to support his back legs so I can take him out for toilet outside, apparantly won't be able to even go for a walk for around a month or two and I don't think he'll be doing any major running agian, he's around 8 years now and hasn't been out lamping or anything for a while now and Probally never will agian now

My lurcher was out walking earlier and was chasing a ball when he suddenly let out a big yelp and fell down and couldn't move his back legs, he been taken to the vets and they think he has a slipped disc he couldn't move atall and was very shaken and is staying over night, has anyone else expeinces this is is common with running dogs
