  2. cheers bud, yeah im maxing them at full draw. So ill cut abit longer when ive gone through all my precuts
  3. wouldntmmind giving tubes a go, what would you reccomend mate? Just had a search about and looped 1745s look good, but noticed you use 1842s.
  4. Is 300 or so shots per bandset and good lifetime for single tapered tbg? Im having to replace at least one side of my set everyday after it breaks at the pouch tie everytime. When attaching pouch I wrap 3 times under medium tension, place my string loop, wrap a further 2 times under medium tension, tuckcthrough the string and pull through.
  5. Tis indeed a good slab. But it handles great Was thinking this myself earlier. Its very noticable difference in power/speed from everything else ive shot. Been out plinking beer cans today at 10mtrs(ish) using different cattys all with single straight cut tbg in different widths. The hazel destroyed the cans after just a few shots. Nice, what's the draw weight like? Might have to rig up some heavily tapering bands and see if I can't get some faster shots. Used to double 20mm theraband gold draw weight is about on par with the 22mm straight cut tbg on my gamekeeper. So seems to be all pro
  6. Do love the grain on hawthorne, great work

  9. Finally arrived from the USA. Made from a natural hazel fork by slingshot workshop. Fitted with 32mm tapered to 22mm bands. Feels great in the hand and fires 9.5 steels at a hell of a speed.

  12. Ask paypal to comtact them after you have your money back. Tell them they no longer seem to be trading but the website and payment system is still live, they may decide to remove their service
  13. Well mine arrived today after ordering it at beginning of february. How it can take so long to make the simplest design on the site I dont know, wish id gone for a higher model. He also cocked the bands up, I ordered a double set but he sent singles, and one side has already snapped at the pouch because they were tied too tight. In conclusion. Not worth the wait or the money. STAY CLEAR
  14. Damn you "Sah"! I cant even get close enough for a shot without the wretched flying rats taking to the wing. Good hunting
  15. Looks sweet, but IMO you might aswell be shooting an air pistol. But if it works for you its all good
  16. Was scourimg the bay and found this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=141588547000&alt=web thought I deserved it
  17. Fix! Fix! Lol. Very generous longers and congrats Jake
  18. Great tip but so far I havent worn a zipped coat while shooting and I take the edges off. Ill remeber the zip tip, thanks Sounds as if I am wrapping to tight although I try to start loose as you say, thanks As with all things practise makes perfect
  19. Alright lads. seems like everyday I have to replace at least one side of my band set after a tear, usually at the pouch end. Is this common with flats or am I doing something wrong? im tying them on with a small strip of tbg using the 3 and 2 string method. bands are 20mm thick using a brand new rotary cutter
  20. Yeah its on the bay, got it on watch
  21. Nice shot, went out today and not a bird, rabbit or squirrel in sight.
  22. If shooting "gangsta" stand side on to the target, bring up your catty to point at the target and draw the bands back to your anchor, now just tilt your head down slightly so yoir cheek bone just barley touches the band close your non dominant eye and look down the band and put the top of the fork on the target and release. Everyones aim point is slightly different. Like mine is just to the left of the centre of the fork
