Just blew air from air bottle upside down onto a dry sandstone paving slab..... no damp patch. Both rifle gauges AND bottle gauge all zip up to 160 no problem, still won't go over that. Can't be the regulator as my HW100 is standard. Seems that all gauges working ok, as they all read the same. Looks like the problem is the bottle. But it does not seem to be a lack of air, or damp air.

Thanks for the advice folks. Both bottle gauge and the 2 gun air cylinder gauges both read 160 after refilling, and after that, even opening the bottle tap more won't result in more air entering either rifles' cylinder. Can't be lack of air in bottle, as otherwise it wouldn't fill perfectly quickly up to 160 each time. No sign of air leak from charging apparatus. I think maybe the bottle itself is at fault, but I can't understand how it works perfectly up to 160, then just won't release any more air.

The bottle was recently filled. It was like this before it was refilled also.... I doubt I've had 75 shots with both guns since Carl at Airtech topped up the bottle for me.

I have a BSA Ultra SE and Weihrauch HW100. The Ultra is tuned by Airtech, the HW100 standard. I use a 3 litre air bottle to refill. It is approx 3 years old and was recently refilled by Carl at Airtech. Both rifles will only fill up to 160 bar , this is a recent problem, they always used to fill up to whatever pressure you wanted. I suspect the bottle or attachments are at fault. Any ideas about what the problem is, and how to sort it? Cheers

Oh dear, what a dreadful advertisement for hunting dogs and those folk that work them! Very aggressive, very unpleasant and unhelpful all round. This thread should, I think, be deleted. I love hunting dogs, in my case, foxhounds. This sort of banter does not reflect well upon our interest. That's all.

There are no foolproof ways of shooting corvids! You may get the first one, or 2…… then you will back to square one, of that I am fairly certain. Clever, very crafty birds

Yeah same. I got a .20 just cos Ive got the 'usual' calibers. You have two of the best possible sets up there, why get another PCP? Out of interest of course. Good question! I suppose I don't strictly need one, but just fancy a change of calibre

I certainly would consider one, always been intrigued by .20 rifle calibre. When do you think the 12 shot is coming out, and can you suggest a good place to order one? Usually hunt with my Airteched Ultra .177, or HW100 in .22.

Not learned much about the multi-shot Raider on this thread! Does anybody have the .20 Raider, and if so, is it any good?

L.C.--which Cumbrian river? I fish the Eden a lot, and have also had a few recent sea trout, mainly in daytime in peaty water. The salmon fishing has been excellent since May, so I have been concentrating on them mainly.

As promised, here is feedback! I took my rifle to Carl in Telford for the "works", as described by Villaman, on Feb 2nd 2016. Carl is a very knowledgeable and skilled engineer, of that that there is no doubt, and he enthusiastically described his intended modifications to my gun ( much the same as Villaman's, see his previous thread, and my post). Carl said my rifle was next in line for "the treatment", after completing work on an R10, whose owner was also present when I visited. I would go for it! I had my Skoda Octavia Scout remapped shortly after buying it new in 2012. I have done 100,000 miles since then, and it has been a brilliant car. The power and torque noticeably increased- it really flies for a 2 litre diesel- and the fuel economy is excellent (65mpg at a constant 70mph, 50mpg on short local trips). It was £400 very well spent.

At the risk of being accused of all manner of heretical accusations, I'd venture that anybody who says they never have "fliers", or runners, is deluding themselves. Only yesterday, I shot a crow from 20 yards through the upper body with my HW ( .22). It flew off over a large river, landed in a tall beech tree, and sat for several seconds before crashing downwards. I was most impressed, initially, by Falcon AP pellets in my HW100KS. I still rate them, but any wind at all seems to affect them a fair bit…. not ideal for hunting. I have tried a lot of pellets in this gun, but seem to keep coming back to the AA Diabolo ones ( the heavyish ones, about 16 grains or thereabouts). Even if you can watch the loopy trajectory through your sight, they seem very consistent, and when you get on target, a surefire killer! The Falcon AP also do the same thing, but in real world hunting I seem to miss more than I would like with them. Maybe just me…… or my particular gun

Oh my word! A gun is a gun, what's all this about? Bit like Xmas eve 1975 when I knew Father Christmas was bringing me a gun, but didn't know what. Turned out to be a Webley Hawk Mk,2 with interchangeable .22/.177 barrels. Best pressie ever, that gun had a very long quarry list, for sure!! Got me into some self induced scrapes, but boy did I love it.
