  1. That was towards the end Charts. I think the Germans had realised that it wasn't a walk over by then. The Dambusters was another raid that had more psychological impact than collateral.
  2. I understand that. However, dropping the bridge would be a massive signal to the Russian people especially those in Crimea that the war is closer to home than they can accept. Similar to us bombing German cities after Goerring promised that no bombs would land on German soil. Didn't do much collateral damage, but the message was clearly understood. The Argentinian runway that the Vulcan bombed was another minor damage that shook a nation.
  3. Or its a diversion and the Crimea bridge is going down.
  4. Layer's pellets = 60p a kilo. You don't need aminos or flavours for bream imo. Remember that old tv program; Never Mind The Quality Feel The Width?
  5. For the last 13 or 14 years I have only fished free waters, initially in the UK mostly derelict forgotten places. There is some fantastic fishing to be had in old canals and from the banks of urban rivers.
  6. I'm surprised there's no otter in them.
  7. Where have you heard that Charts? I read that she had resigned and had a snipe at Truss in her resignation letter.
  8. I hated bream for over 30 years. Then one day I had 15 in an Irish lough and realised that not all bream are equal. The Irish ones fought like tench. Nothing like the lifeless slabs I'd had in Yorkshire and Linc's. If I lived in Ireland I'd fish for tench in summer, bream in autumn and pike the rest of the year. Maybe a bit of trouting too. At 36,000 acre lake sounds fearsome, but just split it up into little sections dependent on the weather and season. Look for bays, coves, shallows, deeps and other features then try each one at the right time. Invest in a cheap Chinese fish finder and
  9. Obviously his memory is faulty. What actually happened is that he took the West Ham fans to a night out at the dog track and drove some dogs into the sea. Obvious now.
  10. Good idea. This might suit him
  11. There's enough info on here now for anyone to find him if they were so inclined. He's wasting his time trying to hide.
  12. Maybe, but he ought to have pm'd Daniel Caine his address if only to have his back yard re done.
  13. When I saw the title I thought it was luxurious ratting in the way that socks goes glamping

  16. According to a survey I read recently whilst most tory voters are unhappy with their party they still would not vote labour. And the labour voters were split between the anyone but tories and those who expect any near future labour government to shift towards Corbinism driven by the unions that fund the party. Thee has never been a better time for a new party to split the vote and influence politics. The two hurdles are who would finance of the new party and the qualty of the candidates. Previously Farage has been let down by poor choice of candidates.
  17. Greb and his alter-egos can surround it and drive it to where you can shoot it from your elephant.
  18. No, its still there under your words in the quote box. But here it is again......
  19. Sorry mackem, but I prefer this version ?
  20. We went to Cleveleys caravan site for a week when I was about 6. It was grim. The year after we went to Pontins at Morecambe. I'll never forget those watch towers, guard dogs, miles and miles of barbed wire all designed to keep us in.
  21. You'd have to walk a feckin' long way to get to a shore mark from Switzerland.
  22. Obviously your accent gave you away. In Yorkshire cherries are cherries, not churries, Bury is a town, and berry is a fruit and we don't keep going the the foot of our sturs, 'appen.
  23. It was probably a honest mistake. The waiter realised that you were a Lancastrian and so ate the parts of animals we Yorkshire folk throw away so gave you the offcuts of brocolli thinking it would be to yiur liking. We are known for our caring and generosity.
