I have a 1/2lb crucian in the freezer to use for deadbait. I keep looking at it and thinking whether to try it myself. The Dutch would keep carp alive in a wet sling hung in the basement for a week or so. They would feed it milk pobs to cleanse the flesh. My Dutch neighbour's elderly Dad still has one for Christmas day.

Is that toast or toad? ? They farm zander over here. All decent restaurants have it on the menu. We sometimes see pike to double figures on the fish counter in supermarkets. I'm trying to convince them to eat more carp,

They are very much like sea bream in texture. I prefer perch to trout. Zander are good to eat too.

Does anyone else have this image of francie?

Looks like Photoshop to me.

If they are Thai how do you know that you've got a real macho manle strain and not a ladyboy strain?
-
Yes, the barstewards kicked me out 11 years ago to the day, on the eve of my 55th birthday. Just like they said they would 25 years earlier. ?
-
No, out of looking after my money. I'll leave you to this now that you have convinced yourself that you were right all along. Nobody else, but it is only you that matters. Classic Walt. I know I made the grade. Got the commendations and memories. What have you got other than your imagination?

The trouble with you is that you immediately forget what you have posted. This is because it isn't drawn from facts or experience. You make it up as you go along and make a fool of yourself over and over again. You started off claiming that you have owned a GSD bred from police lines, then say it was your father who bought it, but it wasn't from police breeding, make contradictory posts about how many akitas you have owned, go all wiki knowledgeable on Japanese fighting dogs, but refuse to give any clue as to where your opinion on akita v GSD has come from. And apparantly it is all my fault! ?
-
So, did you own the police dog that never was that your father bought or didn't? ?
-
Wife still away. Sausage and mash today.

Yes, they started around 2009. But as your father had bought the dog that you are using as one of the three you have owned over 20 years before then. The fact that the program was now closed is totally irrelevant and still is. There was no need to mention it. Can you just again remind us of your own experience of police dogs?
-
I'm speaking from experience, not copy / pasting from the Internet. I know that they no longer have a breeding program and I didn't have to google that. I wasn't asked about that. You claimed to have bought a dog in the 1980's supposedly bred from police dogs, the breeder or seller being in Hatfield. I pointed out that SYP did not breed dogs until around 2009. So basically you are either making itbup or you've been had. I could tell you how and why they introduced a breeding program and why they no longer have it, but it would be wasted on you.

Some dogs are more obvious to read than others. One of the roles I had to do was go in houses and yards and deal with whatever dogs were in there and make it safe for the search teams to do their work. I know what you mean about the Spitz type breeds, but bull mastiffs and ridgebacks can also appear aloof and give little signs of what they are thinking. For me the biggest problem to consider was with two or more dogs. There is always the danger that they will work as a team and one of them goes around the back. Thankfully that did not happen. Unless specifically trained to bite humans as polic

There is plenty if room in Scotland too given that more than half of Scots live elsewhere.
-
Given that the authorities have their biometrics it would be much easier to remove them again.

Yes, and the Home Office know that under current legislation any moves to evict immigrants will cost the taxpayer even more money in legal fees and there is little chance of achieving their aim. Until the UK steps out of the HRA or finds a Guatanamo Bay / Papua New Guinea type solution the situation will only get worse.
-
Until we bin the HRA it will remain the same. The ECHR is protecting immigrants, making lawyers rich and eroding indiginous people's nationality.

I have no idea how anyone could identify bloodlines from a photo, but I am aware of the origins of both breeds. And it was you that said an akita would beat a GSD. You said itseveral times inckuding these statements; "You live in cloud cuckoo land if you think the German Shepherd could live with the Akita, again, haway with the fairies dreamer." "Still, had a German Shepherd bred off police dogs and Akita's, and I know what dog would be alive if they were left in the yard together." And now we know that your GSD probably wasn't bred from police dogs, your akitas plural was act
-
I am not interested in the photo. Now show me where I can find evidence or proof that any akita will beat any GSD in a straight fight. That's what you are saying and I've given up trying to educate you that a pair of non fighting breeds fight it isn't always down to size and power. Show me where yourstatement can be verified. That is all I want - proof!

You are either deliberately dodging the issue or are too thick to understand it. A pack can be two dogs. Or a dog and other animals or people. There may be a period when two dogs size each other up and possibly a few minor skirmishes in order to settle who is top dog. Same when you take on an adult dog. Unless the dog or dogs are psycho or have been trained to fight they will not go at each other hammer and tongs from the start. Sometimes a bigger, stronger dog will submit to a smaller, weaker dog that has a strong attitude or persona. Or has territorial rights. So, in your imaginary scen
