Amber will work a little better in misty or foggy conditions Nice going JJM I use green which as I found out 2 nights ago isn't great in fog, it made the fog look even thicker and very green through my scope, with my eyes I could see about 25 meters, through the scope was about 10 Get fog here all the time so might switch to amber

that would be me, cheers wasn't ment to be a write up just ended that way lol, might do a proper write up with pics sometime I think I missed a couple of parts on that last one, a lil work can take that rifle and all of the qb/xs/th family waaaay over the limit although most of us non FACers will ever be silly enough to do that my xs in its current tune is probably on par with a hatsan straight out of the box, a lil tuning, fettling and lubing the hatsan will kick my rifles ass hence why I also want it as my next budget rifle

dare I start the debate? hell yeh, 22 all the way, Id want know that its still gona pack a punch down range. I know a lot of people like a flatter trajectory of a 177 but with a scope zeroed properly and used correctly the 22 is in my opinion the best to go for Here comes the peed off 177ers in 3, 2, 1............

I shoot all year round but I don't get greedy as I don't have a massive amount of land and would easily cull them all in a few days leaving me with bunnyless plinking land. (hoping my landowners gona give me the other side of the village) Il wipe out as many as I can if they look like they got mixy but il only take enough nice ones for the pot and maybe another for my husky although shes fussy and will only eat if cooked

Would love to hear a review after you've owned it a while

you have a very good point, the poor dogs do only ever seem to come out once a weekend to be worked, spend the rest of the time in the kennels My husky was a problem puppy, water jet sprayed up her nose worked a treat, shes 5 now and she still sits soon as I pick up a spray bottle, even if its to do the cleaning lol

I wrote a post then managed to delete it I have to agree If the bloke is a problem why bother but if your problem with your neighbour was possibly because of your intransigence in the situation then there is some room to maneuver . The dogs are not so much of a problem now, they still have their moment but next door do make a bit more effort then before, it just takes a while before they bother to start sorting them out And barrywhite I definitely could of handled the situation much better but a month of howling does something weird to your brain

At least you can then blame god and say its stigmata , definitely wont look so silly walking into a&e saying u shot yourself in the hand Been looking out for the chap next door, he's never around much so haven't bumped into him yet. I'm gona wave the white flag and throw a few apologies his way for the way I kicked off, hopefully get the ball rolling

il try and make this a short story, just wanted to share cos im a T and proper shot myself in the foot.... Few months ago we had new neighbours move in, at first things were fine until they moved their dogs into some freshly built kennels at the end of the garden For weeks it was just constant barking 24/7 until it got to the point when I lost it and got into a huge argument, we haven't really spoke since Anyway, cutting the story short I found out the dogs are working dogs and the guys got shed loads of permissions, I just got home and looked out my window and hes got ra

Took around 8 hours to complete, if I wasn't getting rudely interrupted by my boss I could have done it in 6 Not much to show really, it still looks rough on the outside, needs blueing, its got a badly camo wrapped stock ( im a welder, engineer, mechanic, the list goes on but I cant wrap a bloody stock to save my life lol ) I recarved the ambidextrous stock to the shape of my palm Would love to tune up others but just don't have the time, plus it means owing a favour to the machine shop boys, they are sick and twisted lads who you never want to owe a favour, im already sure im g

2 ways to look at it...... Is there anything your finding wrong with the AA's? are they grouping ok? are they penetrating ok?, if it aint broke............... or like me.... I started with jsb diabolo, they worked perfect for me and used them for ages, only changed to jsb jumbo diabolos because i got given a handful to try, if I hadn't of tried them I wouldn't of known it was "broken" that make sense? I think it does lol if my daughter ever comes on here and asks then yes, they are amazing pellets..... theres no way im letting her have my jsb's for garden plinkin

Cheers had a go with one today nice gun on the heavy side but pinpoint accuracy hitting the front of shotgun shells at 40-45 yards with ease Yeh it is a little heavy but seems well balanced (iv only emptied one 10 shot magazine so am no expert on this rifle) I found when I chopped the barrel on my xs the lack of weight made me sway more on my standing shots, took some getting used to, I don't seem to move at all with a slightly heavier gun, I now shoot from the knee or prone so weight isn't an issue either way

I love budget stuff my next gun will be a hatsan at44x-10, from huttonscartridges.co.uk, iv used this rifle, nice bit of kit for the price, pretty consistent on power and accuracy BUT new out of the box I would strip, clean/deburr and rebuild everything with new seals, simple and quick to do but it will smooth out the action increase accuracy Iv tried a few under £350 and this is the best iv found for the price

Many thanks for the warm welcome everyone Forgot to add earlier, triggers, omg they are shockingly bad, clean and polished sears, heavier spring to make it pull instead of flop back and the trigger needs shimming to actually fit the housing it was designed for Feels more like a 2 stage now instead of going off at random points through the pull Took around 8 hours to complete, if I wasn't getting rudely interrupted by my boss I could have done it in 6 Not much to show really, it still looks rough on the outside, needs blueing, its got a badly camo wrapped stock ( im a w

Hi all, been reading through these pages for days, seems like a good crowd here but im not sure il fit in to good as I have an smk xs78, im hoping to change your mind on these rifles and I get accepted into the fold after reading loads of threads with people being told how bad these rifles are and they would kill a bunny quicker by smashing it over the head with the stock lol (made me chuckle when I read that) I thought id chat about my xs78 Yes, smk rifles are definitely not the best out of the box but with a few hours work and about £100 in parts (remember these rifles only cost
