Collie Greyhound X Bull Greyhound
Landrace replied to rabbitman1234567's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Iv got a litter of collie bull greys just now, that's them 4 weeks tomorrow. 2 surplus from a litter of 5. Keeping 2 for myself and another one going to a good friend. Will be looking for first class homes for these other two shortly. -
Age To Enter A Pup On The Lamp To Rabbits
Landrace replied to springfield's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Personally I would start them about 10 to 11 months and it would be those big mountin rabbits if you know what I mean! As I find they have no where to escape too. Reduces the chance of a young dog pulling up. -

Very nice lads. Why is it so difficult to upload pictures to this site.. was wanting to add a couple of my own but it's just not as simple as Facebook lol.

Can anyone with this cross please put up your pictures as I have just bred a litter and curious as to what they may turn out like, many thanks.

Can anyone with this cross post your pictures of it, bred this cross myself n that's them just arrived on the ground. Trying to gage what they could possibly turn out like. Many thanks.

any pictures of your bitch? Yes and the sire but I don't know how to upload to this

Lol so putting more bull into it will make it lighter?? Haha. Iv owned 5/8 3/8 greyhound bulls, very good at what they are bred for but by no means lighter framed than a half x put to a 5/8 3/8 greyhound collie
-
Do you own the parents landrace?I own the dam mate Is the dog hancock bred? Yeah mate his sire was tweedledum
-
better still line her with a 3/4 greyhound x 1/4 bull. Lol had a 5/8 3/8 greyhound bull, did exactly what he was bred for and done it very well but was always picking up injurys and they tend to steam in without using their brain to work the quary. So went for something a bit diffrent this time to give me a lighter dog less injuries but still enough bull to do the job.

Bitch Bleeding Heavier After Being Lined
Landrace replied to Landrace's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I did, I lined her last Monday. She was bleeding very slightly on the Friday then stood on the Monday at which point I lined her. She then stood for a further 6 days then started bleeding heavier like you would expect from when they first break down, just can't understand it as my understanding was it should bleed then stop and then stand. -
Recently lined my bitch, last Monday in fact. She started sporting very slightly on the Friday then was standing by the Monday. I got a good tie on Monday night, bout 20 min. I only lined her the once but she was still standing Saturday just gone, but what I can't understand is she is now bleeding even heavier than when she first stood. Is this normal? And is it normal for a bitch to stand 3 days after breaking down? This is the first lining iv done so all decent advice welcome.

Sheep Killers.. Shoot Them Or School Them
Landrace replied to Landrace's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
I believe its owners responsibilty to break dog to livestock while its a pup before it kills another mans livelihoodYip me too, but seen a few dogs over the years "broke to sheep" join in with a dog that's not been. So it's not always as black and white as you may think.Or Should I say not always as straight forward as you may think -

Do you believe it's your responsibility to protect another mans livelihood from a dog that's turned it's head to sheep by putting it down with no hesitation or do you believe you owe it to the dog to break it with the use of certain technics I.e the use of shock collars ect? Personally I will try break the dog.
