  1. Beautifully done. Any info on the various processes? How do you stop the flesh from decomposing, etc?
  2. Great fish, Alan. Well done man.
  3. I stand corrected. As I said, I have no interest in having one for that purpose, although I do think it should be a right. Although I won't act on it unless the country changes its stance. :-)
  4. gun ownership is a right you are intitled to if you pass the criteria for sporting purposes you won't get it for home protection and i wouldn't mention that again if I were you I certainly wouldn't use one for home protection, as it's not lawful. I was merely saying that in my opinion, it should be. But that isn't why I'm a member on here. As I understand it's quite a controversial subject, I think it's best to leave it there.
  5. It is a shame that a few idiots who wanted their 15 minutes of fame in a merciless manner, caused the system to be so much harder for everyone else. They give people with mental health issues (genuine issues, not selfish moron syndrome) a very bad name, and they also give shooters a bad name. Gun ownership should be a right, for protection of your own home against criminals and for sporting purposes - the very small minority are to blame for that not being the case in the UK, along with knee-jerk reactions from governments instead of dealing with the real problem.
  6. They're certainly in there, but they are getting bite shy in their old age.
  7. Unfortunately, I don't know any shooters who live locally. Not live fire, anyway.
  8. That would be brilliant, AThomas. Thank you. Let me know on costs, etc. by PM please (I should have PM's now if I read correctly).
  9. Hi all, I have been a maggot drowner for quite some time, I have done a little fly fishing and these days I prefer to stick to lures, with an interest in dabbling with the fly some more. I have a fly rod that's barely been christened and I also have a new reel as a Christmas gift. Does anybody know of any good imitations for Grayling on the lower Itchen? The free stretch in Swaythling, Southampton. I've caught some nice specimens on bait in the past, but it's too easy and I want to challenge my fishing skills. I am also a big fan of fishing light now I'm older so fly and lure fits that rea
  10. Thanks guys. I will certainly be honest with them - I'm a gun nut so deviances involving firearms annoys me immensely so I would do everything in my power to be above board, and I certainly won't try to cover anything up - I've seen the consequences of fibbing to the Police and I'd rather not be on the wrong side of them. I would also be interested in getting some stalking experience before applying for a stalking rifle.
  11. A couple of years ago, I was prescribed antidepressants to treat depression. I am still on them now, however I am almost to the point where I can slowly begin getting off of them. I haven't been formally diagnosed with anything due to my age (early twenties) and I understand the Police don't like giving tickets to people with a mental illness history. How long do I have to wait before I could be considered for a Firearms Certificate? My local force is Hampshire Constabulary.
  12. Hi all, I'm a new member here and I'm interested in getting in to hunting and learning the art. I'll mostly be lurking and asking the odd question for the time being. Thanks.
