  11. I work mine on them all the time, if they take a lot of hammer they pack ratting in but are still good for rabbits. Jills that is Hobs normally to big. PUD
  12. borders are slow starters at doing what theyre bred for, not ratting. Any terrier should be capable of taking rats and bushing. All breeds can do it, so there isnt really anything special about plummers other than the price of em Am not saying Border are slow starters am saying thats what you get told, I know what Borders are bred for I seen some beltas work. The Border in question went to rats first time out as I said, and now has entered to fox I dont knock any dog if it works it works. PUD
  13. Am no big terrier man but heres a few things that you are told, when your young or just starting out in the game. Borders are slow starters, well could be true but my nephew got one now that I got of a friend of mine at seven/eight months nailed rats first day out never been out before. Lakelands/Fell Pats are all hard and can be only took to hole let off and dug to, I have seen them work cover bush rabbits, rat and taken beating. JRT have got no working instinct left in them, I started off with little what we called, Queen Ann JRT you know ones that are from no working lines just

Well said marra I have only had two Miner for CP kennels down wales worked anything put infront of him pre ban, Lola now from Brimar kennels tiny bitch, best nose I have seen works rat rabbits and entered to fox under 2004 hunting act, she is no world beater infact she can be bit off if strange dogs are hunted with her. But if she is out with my WHWT and nephews two i.e. Border and Bed/Whippet takes some knocking back. PUD
  16. Had another look up farm the night, Omanyra up with his camara. Had my friends black fell bitch up, wating to see if he got many images. Four dogs up my two, Plummer and WHWT nephews Border and as said Black Fell bitch, thirty ish. Canny night. PUD
