  1. Thanks, Its very encouraging. Next video will have a little underground footage, but a bit more in line with whats expected of a ferret. Been trying to film bigger warrens and my hob to end the season but not enough cameras to cover all the action. So going to try and hit a few more small ones this week. Then that's time up I guess Not had luck on my side for a while
  2. Thanks man, Inside the tree was a GoPro, the other hole was a cheap cam but still 1080p. Hope to have more cams ready for next season.
  3. Cat toy balls go down well. A tub of dirt or something to dig in.
  4. If there's space put things in for them to jump/climb on. They can jump up to about a foot in height. Nothing too high incase they fall though.
  5. Nothing to worry about then! Thanks. First time I've seen/noticed it.
  6. Gutted a rabbit the other day and found this orange stuff in its fat all up its back. Anyone know what it is?
  7. There's always kibble in the cage, few different brands mixed together. Rabbit during the season and the odd bit of supermarket meat when not. Athena doesn't eat much meat but the breeder had her on kibble when I got her so maybe inprinted on it.
  8. A slightly less keen ferret can be useful on areas you cant dig, I have an old landfill site I do and digging is near impossible. Brilliant video btw. This is it. I always seem to locate a bottled bunny below a tree root or fence post. Enyo only seems to give them grief if she bumps into them haha but has her place in my arsenal. The next video will be short as it was only an hour trip, with Enyo alone, but she redeems herself
  9. Absolutely, I'm happy with Athena's performance She kept at it and we did pull her out before she behaved as if the job was done. Her brother would have had the rabbit pinned, that's why he wasn't there though, wouldn't want to rustle through all that wire to get him out. Enyo didn't put on a good show but I didn't want to hide any of this insight into the underground. Ferrets all have there pros and cons. A big problem with Enyo is that if shes bolts a rabbit and knows we have it, she wont go to ground properly again, bit of a pain. We let her rag it and put her in the box for five minute
  10. Thanks. Don't know if its up to standard yet, would certainly need commentary. Perhaps more experience too.
  11. Enyo's young, not my best worker but hope she improves over time. Athena older, I think shes was holding back as she maybe took a couple of kicks off camera, but she kept at it. The rabbit left the burrow three times so had there been purse nets we would have had him.
  12. Haha Don't think I'm the man for commentary but I know it might complement the videos.
  13. Enyo's young, she's not the best worker really, gives up too easily, but if I can't dig or if its late in the day ill use her so were not stuck waiting/digging. Athena's the one chasing it about and is a bit older, I was surprised to see her being so cautious because above ground she seems savage but a kick to the face would do that! I've got a hob (Athena's litter mate) actually took him back to the same warren yesterday to try and film the differences between the two sexes but the rabbit wasn't home. My hob pins them/kills in often and I can't always dig so the jills get the mos
  14. The above ground filming wasn't the best in this one but as the underground was interesting I thought it was worth making a video out of. Shame it wasn't easier to purse net! I went back with the hob the weekend after but the rabbit wasn't home
  15. I prefer to use them, gives you that extra sense of where they are. They can clog up but just need a run under the tap. Can tangle in nets but not often enough to put me off (tracking collars do that anyway).
  16. Came out really well. Take the camera more often!
  17. My hobs castrated, lives with the jills. Very laid back. Lays up often and for long periods of time but is otherwise my best worker.
  18. Was wondering where to best place to see all the named pools on certain rivers is? Is there maps online or anything? Scotland primarily. Thanks
  19. Very tidy back fill. Don't think I've lost five in a day but an old buck gave us the slip on two occasions a week apart!
  20. Using iPhone? Sometimes I have trouble accessing links with my mobile.Ye me to I can't open it with my iPhone Better now?

  22. I don't know sorry. Best to ask Andy Kelly, bought the nets from him.
  23. Not the footage I posted the screenshots of, that's next. Tried to keep this one a bit shorter and straight to the point so its just one little warren. Similar style to the last one. Watch in HD
