Hi and welcome mapletree. I can't answer your question but just wondered where in Brittany you are. I'm near Poullaouen, area 29.

Mac, tell your son to be careful that he doesn't overdo the running with weights. Over time it can knacker his knees and back and is likely to lead to shin splints. He will do enough running with weight once he's in. Ask him to ask his coach about fartlek training. One of the best ways to increase stamina and endurance. All the best.

New Kennel Advice/opinions

What sort of problems have you be having with your dog? If it's chewing and the likes then I would look at getting a crate for her to go in and leave her in the house. -
Congrats to your son Mac. 7RHA is a good regiment and looked upon as equal by most Para Reg soldiers. P company and the maroon beret says it all.

Ah, makes sense. Thought it was just for air rifle. Cheers.

Looks good but daft question - why do you need to consider eye relief? Are you still going to shoulder the rifle with the iphone attached?

We've been in France since last July and loving every second. I'm not sure what type of shooting I want to do, don't think it will be airguns as my speciality was HFT and that became too much physically for me, and anyway there doesn't seem to be any of that locally. Joining a 'chasse' might be a problem with my limited French, so it looks like target shooting with .22lr rifle, something I've done in the past, or pistol speed shooting, quite fancy that. Hope your move goes well and you enjoy your time here as much as we do. The club at Vire has rotating targets for speed-shooting. Take adva

How are you settling in CharlesC? We are moving over to Brittany in 3 weeks time and I'm looking forward to getting settled and joining a local club.

I Might Have To Review My Pellet Buying Policy.

Haha, good find! -
Is his reply based on the fact that they already know and exam the FAC holders so no issues with just adding their air rifles, whereas, non FAC holders will have to be registered/visited which will cause them a lot of extra work and paperwork.

pump or dive tank ????
Murphydog replied to SEAN3513's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Just had a look at that link and it recommends PCP's for garden plinking and springers for hunting so I won't be taken too much notice of anything else they say. As for the original question, I use a Hills stirrup pump. -
Countryway were doing a deal on the panorama 4-12x40 Map 6 with AO and IR for £99.95 if you like the map 6 reticle. I use mill dot, but cheers for the heads up. They did have the 3-9x50 with half mil dot Panorama for £100 delivered last month but I think you are after at least 12x zoom from your above post.

Same here buddy. I stick to my old Tasco (Japan) 4x32. Great glass with front AO and does exactly what I need it to do.
-
Stick to the Bentley and I'll take the noisy old tractor off your hands for £50!!! As above, either something wrong or run a few tins of pellets through it and let it all settle down.

I saw this on another forum and the owner lives in Clitheroe so assume his lockup is somewhere in the same area. -
So Much Choice But There Can Only Be One !
Murphydog replied to The Welsh lad's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Only posted it to put a fly in the ointment! I know nothing about the Walther but saw a link posted on another forum due to the price. My first rifle was a HW77 and my last springer was a HW97 so you can guess which I'd choose from your list. Good luck with your decision. -

What about something different? About £150 cheaper than most other places and delivered straight to your door. Walther LGV master in .177 £299 http://www.pellpax.co.uk/airguns/air-rifles/spring-powered-air-rifles/walther-lgv-master-rifle-177-winter-sale/3224 -
Rez posted while I was writing and explained better!

It's because a .177 pellet is lighter so it can have a faster fps speed and still be under 12ft lb compared to the heavier .22 pellet which needs a slower fps speed to stay under 12ft lb. Less speed equals less air. (Probably not worded great but I know what I mean, lol)

Educating The Public About Airgunning

Not from the road, the term is carriageway and the distance is from the centre. Only illegal then IF you cause alarm, distress or risk etc to the users of said carriageway.Footpaths don't come under the same rule, neither do bridleways and certainly not public footpaths on agricultural land. Commonsense is the key, with a silenced sub 12 just stay out of sight, use a silent backstop and make sure no pellet can ever cross your boundary. You can quite legally shoot in your garden as long as you are safe and sensible. The term is Highway, not carriageway. Footpaths are highways and so are brid -
I never had one but it was my mates HW80 that got me into air rifles. It was a superb bit of kit compared with what else was about at the time. I did intend to buy one but when I got to the shop I fell for the HW77 and bought that instead. We stuck new springs and ptfe washers in the both and thought we were the bees knees until it came to shooting them. They both kicked like a mule and were so unaccurate after our messing. We took them back to the shop where we had bought the springs and washers and he put them through the chrony for us. The HW80 was just over 18ft lb and the HW77 was 23
