It really is. It's a lot more sporting when the water is deeper, giving the muskrat a chance to escape. It really is a lot of fun watching the mink and dog work together though. I bet mate. Shame we dont get them in the uk Has the mink or dog ever had any injerys from the rats

Well that's one for the books, a pike coughing up a rat. Nice one.Yes, have eaten pike when I was young, perch too. Nothing better than a nice trout or mackerel IMO and it's nice to see the pike swim away for another day. Ye mate i didnt think it would of taken my bait after eating a rat but it was one angry fish lol its to nice to good fish go back hopelly catch the on a few years at 20 lbs the lake is a cracking little seceret.

I do think its got alot to do with how much game you have got to run. Its like anything you do. The more you do it the better you get My first lucher has just gone 2. Round me theres not much game i dont drive and i dont realy know anyone with working dogs well anuf to get out with them all the time and they dont run edible quarry lol So it was time to put in those foot miles weve had some cracking nights and some shite We are both learning the game togeather.
