Okay great thanks, I will run a few hundred of these through it and then have a look at some others

Haha yes it's unusual stock but I actually really like it! It's pretty comfortable for me! Haha thanks! I'm using air arms Diablo hunter
-
I got it in .22! I know some people prefer .177 but I've always used .22 all my life and at 20yards it's giving me this 5 shot group so can't complain!

Thanks! If it keeps this up I will be very happy!

Well thanks to some advice on here (thanks again lads), a lot of research and getting a feel for the gun I decided the HW100 was the gun for me! Got it a few days ago and managed to get out twice since, would you believe it but the same results both times, 1 pigeon followed by 1 squirrel! Got some close up pictures the second time as I knew my dad wouldn't believe me let alone everyone else ? The gun is very accurate, quiet and in all a pleasure to use! So looking forward to a day's rabbiting tomorrow but until then here are the pictures from my two shoots this week:

I have been advised against classes, the people I've spoken to say it's a waste of money and you can find someone passionate who is willing to help you out of their love for the sport! But if you've never done any falconry before and/or have buckets of money then it might be a good way to see for sure that falconry is something for you before you invest time and money into it?!

great attitude to have, it upsets me how easily people can get hold of birds and dont know what they are doing, dont realise how much work they need to put in and the end result is the bird suffering! If the bird is your number one priority I think you wont go far wrong Do keep us updated on your progress, I for one would be interested to here how you get on

ah nice, just had a look at those and seen they also have the same loading system, it looks quicker than a usual bolt action but will have to wait until I have a go with it before I really decide!
-
okay thanks, I quite like the reloading system on the HW100 too, its something I havent really seen on anything else!

Im in the same boat as you and the advice I was given is do lots of reading and then try and get out with someone who is flying to gain some experience! I've been reading for well over a year and a half and slowly building knowledge, Ive been out flying with someone now too (it is difficult to find someone but you will!) I might be going into it too slowly for some and some people might not want to spend as long in the research phase as me, (Im planning at least another season before I'd consider my first bird) but if this is something you want to do and want to do well then it will be ver

Hi guys, about to buy my first PCP and am thinking either a BSA R10 MK2 or Weihrauch hW100 carbine.... Im not too worried about the price difference, either way it isnt cheap and I'd rather just invest in the better gun. I shoot pests rather than targets- usually squirrels, rabbits, pigeons and rats. So basically any opinions on which to go for would be great? also .177 or .22? i know its the age old debate and most people say personal preference but any thoughts on this would also be great! (I currently shoot a .22 spring and am a big fan of .22 but wouldn't mind changing if .177

wow thats mad! definitely not needed unless you are really serious about the film you're getting

no worries, some fakes are very realistic and sometimes work just as well, the one i had was real but just the wrong kind!

you have to be careful with some of the memory cards, we used to have the wrong type in and it caused all kinds of issues, the videos were jumpy and not good and it often caused the GoPro to crash, some of the cards dont process the data quick enough. my dad bought the one recommended by a fella in a shop and it wasnt until I used it and had issues that I took it to a dive shop and he got the proper card for it. it was a Sandisk one but theres a little number on there that should have been 10 and ours said 1! all very confusing but apparently its quite a common issue

wow great flight! good effort from her! well... and from you with the run

it says the video is private mate?

I just got the go pro 3 and a £70 discount on it as well as currys are doing them for £150 and retail price are £200 and you get another 10% discount if you buy it in the store so I order head strap and 64gb sd card and go pro came all in at £170 .and the wifi on it to is good to record your clips from on your phone and saves time to. oh wow thats a pretty good deal! yes agree about the wifi but shame the battery life isnt that great on them, i might invest in a second battery for mine Mine last 3 hours if your running it straight.but I only run it on short clips and will save the battery
