  1. I was talking to driver in my brothers company who has been through the mill, wife very ill with no good prognosis and he suffers from stress and anxiety and said last year it got so bad it was like a lump was in his throat and he couldn't eat anything solid for months it got that bad plus he had chronic pains so I wouldn't discount it but I would assume you would know if you were under stress ? Another thing have you discounted dietary problems ? Shooting mate of mine was having major pains in his lower stomach and docs couldn't get to the bottom of it, in desperation he cut bread, bear and
  2. That looks bloody amazing, credit to you, what a great job and something for Rob to treasure for years to come. Great seeing the progression and it feels just like Marks dog it's like it's part of the airgun section collective !!.
  3. Another thought, as you see a lot of people selling a second hand unit after a month or two " because I decided NV is not for me " is an option to build your own screen add on unit and try it out, then if you decide NV is for you but you want a dedicated unit go and get one, the bits you use for your own DIY add on could all be used with the addition of a different lense in a spotter build or sold on for about the same as you bought them all for ?
  4. I use a home build NV with screen mounted on the side, works well and is a lot cheaper and often better than units a lot more expensive, if you didn't want a screen then you can get near eye builds.
  5. The guy I bought it off never had it open so that's a good idea, he said didn't use it a lot just a bit of plinking in his garage or neighbours land, he sold it on as rarely used it figuring he may get a pistol to play with instead, he never had a scope on it either though I think it came as part of a bundle originally as there was a bipod, hard case and a SMK scope with it. Whats the best thing for removing old grease and cleaning up , would brake cleaner be ok or would that be too much on the internals ? Any particular type of Airgun grease ?
  6. Yep I been hanging around here like a bad smell but at the age of 43 this is my first ever airgun, my old man can't fathom why as I got shotguns and rimfires why I got one, but it's you guys enthusiasm for it plus something I can do with my kids as they grow up. It's an oil cloth and although you are right it's fecking terrible it keeps the kids and my tinkering off the table top which would not amuse the boss ! I think I will shoot it a bit and see how it goes before I open it up and polish/tinker, I got a bit of practice as it a bit different than a HMR plus get a decent scope s
  7. Finally ( hopefully ) worked out how to post up a pic.
  8. Trying to sort pics but i'm a dunce at that stuff plus the camera is flat Yep rear sights on it and the guy I had it never had a scope on it, H&H's ordered up !
  9. Well I found a decent looking Hw77k in .22, looks in good condition and at a decent price guy selling even dropped it in to me to look at so done a deal. . It's good enough to start me off plus something I can work on a bit to improve I not fired an Air rifle for probably 25 years something to tinker with when I got time when work and the rabbit population is not eating my corn. I fully put the blame on you guys on this forum for making me want a new plaything to go along side my proper grown ups guns so will be badgering you for advice when needed First up H&N FTT pellets decen
  10. HW77 K in .22, bit more of a project than your one but seems like a good buy plus the guy even dropped it in on his way to work.
  11. Cracking gun mate, shame I just got myself sorted this AM or I could of gone for this.
  12. You got one of those 9mm's then Phil ?
  13. I like his crying pigeon.
  14. A light camo job would look great with that dark grain showing through......
  15. If you want to stop radical islam stop bombing their countries. It won't matter if we stop bombing their countries. For radical Islam to stop, Islam has to change and it hasn't done that for centuries, other main religions adapt and change their teachings to reflect the times but Islam is stuck in the 7th century and radicals will keep trying to take over in non radical countries.
  16. Well done Ireland, very well deserved win and a stop start tournament for who were supposed to be favourites but they have a great team to build on and seem to have strength in depth. England needed to lose for their progression just a shame it was on Saturday !! we seem to miss on field leaders to drag us over the finish line when the game is tight, the makeshift back row didn't really work, fullback could be replaced for someone who passes but once it opens up we often get the win with Ford/Farrell finding good space. Bit dirty tactics by the French to deny Wales and Barnes did his best
  17. https://www.guntrader.uk/guns/shotguns/webley-scott/single-shot/9mm-rf/garden-gun-160922142606008 Looks like a No3 by the pics and Avalon guns in Somerset also have one for sale I think. Looks a cracking little gun.
  18. The SNP haven't tried to compromise at all on brexit, if they did they would of waited until after the negotiations have been done before demanding another once in a generation referendum, they have used it as a opportunity to push their own agenda while hoping to deflect away from how useless they really are.
  19. I think if your knob was as long as that you wouldn't have much time to be worrying about shooting guns.
  20. As far as I'm aware all shows and auctions have been banned across the UK, when this will be lifted I don't know, depending on what area you are in and what the situation is at the time will depend on what you can move and keep, I imagine their are people selling them privately though if you aren't in a high risk area. This is the DEFRA site, no idea how up to date it is as I not keep poultry myself. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/avian-influenza-bird-flu-in-winter-2016-to-2017
  21. I'd do this if at all possible, may also get a bit of money off as well face to face or at least have a bit of time looking at new shiny things.
  22. think shes making her thoughts clear, but she wont block it I think she may block it and rightly so.
  23. Head says England should win, heart is nervous about it already !! The injuries must have an affect on Ireland while our injury worries have for once subsided as the 6N's has gone on and we haven't lost anyone and got our most important players back plus last weekend we seemed to of got over our first 20 jitters. Of course Ireland haven't the title or grand slam to go for so can play with more freedom and they are a team who can play with such passion and commitment they are capable of beating anyone, they stopped the NZ run of wins so effectively in the autumn and the AB's were well b
  24. They are trying to load the voting to make sure it goes their way and why 16 for this but 18 on other less important elections, why not 14, 12, or 8 as it will effect them as well, 18 is a better age to be able to understand what is fact and fiction and at least a little life experience, what next, now allow anyone over 75 the vote as it won't effect them as much/at all ?
