  5. I had a small whippet cross that did exactly the same at the same age, she would be great until we got 100 yards to the gate out of the field to be put on a lead then she would do the same. If i walked after her she backed off further, it was nothing to do with Bonding in my case just a dog being a naughty pup, as soon as she saw someone else she would bound up to them and have her lead put on, i used to sit at that gate and have to get my missus to appear then she would run up to her and no probs. Had nothing to do with bonding, being shouted at or smacked at all, at about 10 months old
  6. Thanks for the welcome all.
  7. Thanks all, yes i will have a look later in the week, my concerns is merely on my own training techniques in that i like a close bond as a young puppy.... A whippet cross may not be out the question if i can find any and decpher if they are actuall y that cross, my luck it would turn out as big as a donkey.... Richard

  11. Thanks Darbo- Im not too bothered on a first cross or a 5/8-3/8 or a 3/4 bred it is more it will be living in the house and the overall size would be be better if it was a tad smaller. but that is more trying to be practical. Richard

  15. Hi All I have just joined the forum (been reading for a while now) i have decided to look for another Lurcher and fancy a first cross collie x greyhound or 3/4 bred same cross. i had lurchers some years back and always had small based lurchers bed/Grey and Whippet crosses etc. but came away from them and had some years training and shooting over cocker spaniels but have always missed a faithful lurcher in the house. I have scoured the internet and the usual breeder and nothing which is 8-10 weeks or so can be found. hope im ok to ask this but if anyone knows or has some due or
  16. Hi All Just a quick introduction from me, i have been reading the forum for a while but decided to join up as i need to ask for some help in one of the forums. I love my gundogs and undertake all aspects of shooting be with rifle or shotgun and looking at getting back to owning a Lurcher again. Thanks Richard
