    Not sure pike gear will be getting dusted off this season way its going. Have you had much luck with the eels? big ones are hard to come by Ive heard? They go well though dont they.Nice on the pan throw most of them back though. loads of bootlaces got a few half decent ones and seen only a handful of good ones caught.do you fish for them at night or day? And do you use the worm or traps, I'd love to try smoked eel, looks the ticketEvening time threw to night usually slacks off in around 2.30am so that does it, worm and maggots sometimes. No don't use traps did in the past when we had a boat.

    Too many rivers getting badly polluted that run into lough neagh the 6 mile water constantly gets hit and the glenavy got hit a week or 2 back, the trout, salmon, dollaghan and all coarse species are getting dented but thankfully the lough helps replenish stocks, but there needs to be tougher punishments on pollution . Nicking a fish or 2 for the pot is nothing compared to wiping a whole Eco system out with toxic waste. You near the upper bann

    yes mate and once they feast on freshwater fish they bring friends to dinner too, wiped out parts of the Lagan and the quoile in downpatrick in no time they took them back to sea but they soon returned ended up getting a lead injection. A big danger to fresh water systems

    I'd be betting on your permission details being passed onto the antis, the fact the arsepca lost they will turn to slimy sneak tactics, and try get you again, the leopard never changes it's spots, maybe best to wire off your farmers to keep an eye out for unwanted visitors.
