    What age is the dog? Did you give it bones lately or anything!? The reason I ask is my dog tried hiding a bone and each day it would rub it's nose off the ground and wear it down to the pink below plus seen old dogs get it!

    She got 7/7 on the lamp the other night, she is going as well as she was at 5, hope I get abit of next season with her! cod liver oil and exercise everyday should keep her going ?cheers

    I have 2 pups off her 20 months old, I put her back to my 3/4 Greyhound 1/4 bull dog! They are making good allrounders already!

    Well Guys took my old bitch out to check out a few fields for walking tonight and up gets a fine hare about 40yards away and she got a great race and killed after a good few turns! The bitch is 10years old in June, she's 1/2 whippet 1/4 Collie 1/4 Greyhound, she is a lamping bitch but she has put away a good few hares!(in Ireland and legal)

    I had one and to be honest your dog would prefer get out smelling after the fields or road plus you have to watch em incase they fall or something so your standing around which is boring, bulldog owners use them because they can't let there dog's run free incase they go for stock or other dogs! I sold my to a mate who uses it to exercise his terriers but to be fair there 2 marked up to take out in public! Pro no one's know what you have until you hunt em that is! Con dogs what abit of freeze air and will get sick of it

    he should have said they were for a trap collection Yea totally agree! Think he shouldn't have represented himself! He doesn't seem as if he's too clued up on things! I don't think its written anywhere in legislation that its illegal to posses legholds, only illegal to use them, so he may have been his own downfall on this one! Sorry just an update! Had a look at the Irish Legislation! It is illegal to import legholds without special licence! So just be aware any yee Irish trap collectors! thanks for keeping him out of jail ?

I'm in Ireland and interested to see how people grand there dog's I know based on the last topic it's not about numbers but the lad o was out with I would grade his dog as top class but yet this dog has been breed to 4 Bitchs and he killed 6 foxes this season and I think that's not a true test but the owner talks the talk! 15 posts and most mention numbers.     yes and I am but I believe in breed the best to get the best and lots of dirty being breed cause guys go out the odd night get there dog bust up and breed it then guys buy the pups and rear dirt but I was just interested as to see what people taught was a well grafted dog! If breeding these none proven dogs just creates waste and it could be ruled out if set a standard for these dogs before breeding

    Of course pre ban what numbers of foxes was an average season for a dog? How many slips and how many catches? How close do they have to be to you, was out tonight with a guy and they were about yards away and I taught it was a waste of time but says he gets em but he didn't this time! what's your season like and does everyone really run single handed!? Does double make it easier or do they get in each others way?
