And here's me thinking I was the only one in Leics! I live in woodhouse eaves, got shotguns, 3 springers, and love me ferreting (3 hobs).

im don't think it's balls with Kanye tho he's got such a over inflated view of him self it's unreal...but it works for him I guess...I'm more interested in his talking than his singing he comes out with some unbelievable tosh we have sacked him watching download festival on sky arts instead Watched a bit of download earlier, Judas Priest looked good, and so did slipknot (not my usual thing)

Hope she didn't jump into a net - that's when the fun really starts We were out with the farmer who wanted a couple of shots so I netted up and left a couple for him, fox bolted more or less under his feet and by the time he finished swearing his two shots clean missed!

I work 3 castraited hobs, live together quite happily and I don't think it affects there work, been out today and had a few rabbits and also bolted a vixen, f*#cker made me jump, came out the hole about 3 foot from me!

I had 10 purse nets off threelander, been out with them today for the first time and they are cracking nets, well chuffed with them! Good man to deal with as well. -
Ordered 10 nets at the weekend and they arrived today! Nets look quality as well, top man to deal with. I'll be giving them a go over the weekend.

Most average mans gundogs are pets for a large part of the year. We have springers, work for a living and have two kids under 6, no probs. get them into a routine, take them for a walk and keep them under control! Don't let them bomb around like maniacs, give them basic commands and make sure they do them, be sensible in the house (no tug of war with the kids!), and when your out working them you'll be glad you chose the springer!

Try sending her for a retrieve, then walk in the opposite direction with her following, when she is walking right next to you turn round and gently take the retrieve whilst giving loads of praise. Worked for me on a difficult springer I had.

Thanks all, I'll be getting out whenever I can, I have already eyed a few decent looking sets while out filling feeders! Don't seem to be overrun with rabbits in our neck of the woods this year though? Also on the lookout for any ferretting gear, got the basics but need to add more
