Why ? She's happy - as long as she is, so am I ! She's in a long term, stable relationship, well-educated, good job, no money worries......all you could want for your child, really ! I agree with sandymere...me and my wife gave our kids life and its our job to care for them until they're capable themselves but i dont 'own' them. I dont see them as my 'property'

Thought about what might happen years and years down the line? How many people think like that? Ive got 3 kids and one more on the way and ive never stopped to think about what might happen if in 15 years time i dont love my missus anymore. People can split up after spending most of their life with each other...no one would ever have kids if they thought like that Bolloks lol. Its been said already but staying together for the kids isn't always the right thing to do...if parents are ripping it out of each other all the time then surely thats worse for the kids to see than seperated parents. My parents were always fighting when i was a kid...tables flung across dining rooms, raised fists, dinner plates used as frisbees...and it was horrible to see...i was playing referee to my parents from the age of 12. At the end of the day though the final decision is up to your 'friend' to do what best suits his situation

It depends, my son is 5 and has spent the last year in a local mainstream school but is moving to a special school in september...he just wasnt coping. Every autistic child is different with different needs...some can manage in normal schools but some cant. Plus some autistic children are thrown into mainstream schools because of funding...all about money mate -
