  3. Today a bought a new lurcher pup a deer collie grey x wheaton bull grey.Im not normally a fan of anything with bull in it or am I fan of lurcher to lurcher breeding. However,i do like a good coat on a dog,and after seeing the dam of the pups ( deer beardie grey) was in no doubt, what a handy dog could come from this mating. The sire ( wheaton bull grey ) looked every bit impressive on the photo I was shown, and by how muscular yet lean the dog looked again, I was in no doubt the stories I was hearing may well be true.Anyway...after checking the litter for any defects I decided on a bitch pup and a
  4. my pals got a cocker x jrt and its mustard. Gos to ground and can draw ( wouldn't belive it unless I seen it). It never stops, brilliant at bushing more than earns its keep,
  5. My pals got a cocker x jack Russell and its an absolute flyer. Ive never known anything like it. If someone was to ask me about the x id of looked at them with some serious suspicion and asked them if they was joking?? After seeing it graft I reckon it would take some beating. The dog never stops, its got to to be the best bushing dog ive seen and ive seen a few.Its nose is permantly down and either flushes or grabs what the other dogs have missed. It goes to ground and is hard as nails....

Ive been quite impressed by one of the lads 3/4 lakey 1/4 border, what a cracking dog its turned out to be. Everytime weve been out its never failed to locate and it has balls of steel to match. Not supprisingly another one of the lads
  7. Ive recently moved into my new house, and seriously thinking about getting a new lurcher. These days we don't seem to get out lamping all that much, and spend the majority of the time with the dogs bushing and ratting. The land round here consists mainly of smaller fields so I reckon a big lurcher would be wasted,as it wouldn't be able to reach its full potential. So im thinking smaller, quick on the take off, nimble and something with plenty of grit and determination and be able to hold if need be.My pal had a bull whippet which was a cracking mooching dog, only 19" to shoulder but the heart of a lio
