Oh ok I didn't know, I just did the one outing. What do you mean by pulling up? How come on football pitches harder to catch? Yes I will wait now and just keep up with his training and fitness. And ok thanks W. Katchum. -

Well from the few outings with the ferrets and the jack Russell marking up sets constantly, my lurch has started to hunting... And marking up. I got my self a lamp so took him out where there was a load of rabbits on a flatt football field. Easy pickings. I know it's out of season but was interested on how he would do. But yes he is constantly hunting... He does chase the rabbits and is keep for them! But he's not seeing them till the run or move and is not looking down the lamp. I find my self holding him under one arm so he's higher up and can see the rabbits easier with the lamp in the hand -

Hello, I am new to the Lurchers and lamping and have a Lurcher that's coming on 9 months old now. He's well trained, live stock broken and good with ferrets. He did a few ferreting trips with me last winter but would like to get him on the lamp. If any one could help me out or take me out with them it would be much appreciated, thanks Oscar

Hello I am Oscar Mitchell from Yeadon in the Leeds/Bradford area I have a 6 month old Lurcher pup And am wanting to start working him. He's broken to ferrets and sheep and has all the basic commands in place. I am after any advise about how to get him working with me when I go ferreting or on the lamp. I have permission in a few different locations. If any one the area would like to show me how to go on that would be great or any advise, thanks.
