Got It!... Shopping Time!
HondaHunter replied to Born Hunter's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
it is going to be a good weekend !! -
I held onto a live fused spur once, turned out the fuse had been temporarily replaced with a pair of pliers because it kept blowing. That was not a good day

I hadn't really thought about a howa to be honest, just kind of forgot about them but I know they have a good reputation. seems my budget may have been increased a little howa with swarovski glass it will probably be then....now where did I put that plastic card with pretend money.

I know what you are saying, the 243 isn't exactly a hot round so i am not so worried about barrel wear and at <£300 you cant expect 10 years service. My next question was going to be about scopes so I will wade straight in. I seem to really be struggling with scopes recently, my eye sight is getting a little worse but it isn't terrible (only use glasses for reading and driving) and i dont usually like to wear glasses when shooting because they get in the way and steam up. I can normally dial this out with the scope focus but over the last 6 months I end up with a blurred reticule after

ok peeps, I am looking for a new .243 and not sure what to go for. When I say new I don't care if it is circa 1970 as long as it has been looked after and has a good rep. my choices are parkerhale old but cheap as chips I mean under £200 thats cray ! savage arms 110 - cheap and great reviews browning A bolt - something second hand with scope, bipod and can is around £550 browning x bolt - new one without scope is around £600 i think remington 700 - new one is around £550 and legendary in 308 cal rifle will really only be used for foxes but I enjoy the odd long range target ses

Hi All, I have been kindly invited as a guest on which will be my very first driven day. It is a friends and family day but it is my friends estate and i really want to make sure i don’t drop any clangers. can anyone tell me what i should expect from a driven, what etiquette i should be aware of and how to get the most out of it ?. thanks all

i am more than happy to help fella. i have .22lr, 17hmr and .243 would of course want to meet first etc.. then we can go out bashing the bunnies and foxes. I am between sittingbourne and the m20. the whole mentor thing is BS and having lived in wiltshire, east sussex and kent i have to say kent are OTT and quite frankly make thier own rules. drop me a pm.

HondaHunter replied to HondaHunter's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
thanks for the post fella, I had never heard of them but it seems to be a lot of the older / lower end guns were slightly unknown. thanks -
hi fellow kent person, pm me your details. I mainly shoot outside of kent but if I get any pigeon in kent i will give you a shout. Or I will be at JJ's this sunday if you want to say hi.

Starting Out, The Best Bang For Buck And Improving Your Results.
HondaHunter replied to John Lewis's topic in Clay Shooting
thanks for posting fellow kent, i have only started shooting clays the last few weeks. I currently go to JJ's behind bluewater. i am now entering the frustrating stage of learning a little at a time to improve. i try things and sometimes go backwards but its mostly forwards. -
that is just amazing.

Pcp Air Rifle For A Women
HondaHunter replied to Amatuer hunter's topic in General Airgun Discussion
bsa ultra, bsa scorpion, air arms s200 with multi shot. hw100 to be honest most pcps weigh the same, your raider is probably a little heavier than most because it has a long barrel (great gun by the way) so the best thing to do is find a friendly gun shopand get her trying loads. good luck -
Hi, I am always looking to learn more and wondered if anyone has found any useful shooting videos online to help me improve my kill count. I know getting out there and doing it is the best way but its 19:30, dark and raining so i want to watch something other than eastenders ;-).

Hi All, Sorry to launch in on this for my first for my first post but i wondered if anyone has owned or shot an Aramberri Mach Sporter. I am looking to pick one up over the weekend or maybe a an Armitalia. essentially i am looking for a cheap as chips under over and wondered what people thought. thanks

I have just joined after spending too much time roaming the internet this evening . Having moved from wiltshire a few years ago shooting has taken a bit of a back seat (once a month maybe) but I love it whenever i can get out. my first passion was air rifles but i now shoot centre fire & rimfire as well as air rifle. shotguns are really only used for pigeon and the odd driven (should i get a free invite). well thats me, I am now off to roam around the forum and find out if you really should clean a hmr :hmm: thanks
