  1. So recently my mate just got the sister (Rala) of his bitch which died last year whilst working (2 years old). He thought he would like to take it out a shine for a couple of hours over the weekend, Just to see how it would respond to the lamp and looking for prey as it hasn’t been worked before due to the previous owner having health problems. I thought I would take my 6 month old pup (Ace) along just to let the pup see what it has in store for the future. Done a golf course where my mate has permission for rabbits as soon as we walked on there was a nice big rabbit sitting in the middle of t
  2. Hi Guys, my 12 week old pup is ripping the carpet in my livingroom up something awful, Any tips to get him to stop it? Thanks Chris
  3. I am having a bit of trouble walking my pup on a lead. Without the lead he walks right by my side but when I put the lead on him he basically just sits down and won't move. I don't really want to drag him because this could make him hate the lead. Does anyone have any tips?
  4. Sounds like a cracking night, well done.
  5. I know I know someone that can do them also. so its alot better paying £10 rather than getting ripped off by the vets.
  6. I plan on it mate, was just thinking about this last night so i thought i would see what everyone elses opinion was on it...
  7. I was thinking about getting one of these crosses, decided against it because it being 1/4 bull. Got a 3 month old baby so better to be safe than sorry... Settled for a saluki x collie whippet grey. Coming on great.
  8. What is this cross like mate? I just got a pup after a bit of research but still question some bits... What game have you done?
  9. I will be getting my pup jagged when it is old enough! I am just looking for information. I know multiple people who have had dogs who have never had there injections and the dogs have been fine. I know people who’s dogs have had injections but have died of horrible diseases. If the pups parents, grandparents and their partners have all had the injections then surely by now the dog should be protected without having to get the injections. Is this just a farce and a way for the vet to make money by scare mongering people into thinking if your dog doesn’t
  10. Guy who had them said it wasnt feeding off its mum anymore and all the other pups were going so i had to basically pick it up.
  11. Got one mate, Just like tips from other people aswell as its not possible for the boy to know everything.
  12. My mates dog went through some bushes the other week and came back out and her paw was red. Turns out young ones have been smashing bottles. Slit the paw right open. Not even enough skin to stich had to glue it.
  13. Hi Guys, Got a 5 week old pup and just wondering what’s the best things I can be giving it to eat. I currently have it on Red mills (Suitable for puppies) and give it scrambled egg sometimes. The pup was skin and bone when I got it so I am trying to give it as much protein and fat as possible. I have also given it crushed up baby rusks with hot milk which it loves and baby porridge. (You would never know i have young baby in the house ha-ha) Is there anything else that I could be given the dog once so it’s not eating the same stuff all the
  14. Got a 3 month old boy mate but the dogs not allowed anywhere near him. When its nibbling my hands its not really sore but i dont know if thats just because it doesnt have alot of jaw power yet. my neighbour/lamping buddie has a pup aswell so i am trying to give it as much time with that as possible. I wouldn't let it be seeing to many strange dogs outside the house until it has it's jabs mate. Yeah mate i know, only letting it see this dog until it gets its jags. Lets it burn off a little energy when its getting flung about haha!
  15. Had to worm it the night i got it mate, still dragging its back-side...

  18. Thanks mate, I got it on Friday but changed the food it was getting as it was asda smart price stuff. Dog was skin and bone when i got it. Got the wee man on Red mills as on the site it says they are suitable for puppies, eating scrambled egg aswell. Starting to see a difference already and its only a few days.
  19. Aye wait the now pal, Think every person that gets into lamping needs a helping hand first of all. I bet someone took you out for your first time and showed you the ropes and gave you tips for dogs etc. I have people i have went out with and that have given me good tips but maybe i want to know more tips that i can use if need be.
  20. I was thinking the same, The dogs stopped feeding off the mum at 3 weeks and the guy I got the dog from texted advising that most of the pups were leaving the next weekend so I basically had to take it. The dogs settled in well though, hot water bottle wrapped in a blanket and a clock above the cage seems to be working. As soon as it gets light though it howls like mad... Trying to use the puppy pads but the pup isn’t going near it so definitely think the carpet is going to need cleaned.
  21. Hi Guys, Had this account for a while but only just started getting really interested in dogs within the last 6 months. Just got a new pup on Friday. 5 weeks old today. Sire is saluki x collie grey - Dam is Whippet x Grey. Nice black dog with white sox and 3/4 of a white head with a black patch over its eye. Does anyone have any tips that i can use to bring this on.
