If your dogs pile into everything, hows that distinguishing between prey species? How do you know your dogs aren't enjoying smashing a rabbit more than a fox? You seem to be saying dogs that don't pile in aren't trying hard enough, or (can't believe i'm writing this) smashing a rabbit is somehow a sign of gameness? In the past iv'e stopped hunting with people with unruly dogs, dogs that one way or another spoil the day/night. Not such a problem when we dug/bolted/bushed foxes back in the day, we expected them to pile in, who wouldn't? For the life of me i can't see why you'd want do -

I spend more time holding my dogs back than out and out hard bushing Morton, way different dogs/style of hunting, be hard to make any kind of comparison tbh. I hunt rabbits, if the dogs piled in and smashed every one what use is that? They caught two today, one each, bitch caught first one, lurcher brings it back, no squabbles, bitch puts another out and the lurcher gets it, she comes back to me, he brings the rabbit, no grief. Hows that not better than a tug of war? I'll tell you something i know about proper dogs, real class dogs, they distinguish between prey species. Some dogs sm -
I don't like the way all these alternative lifestyles are promoted as normal these days, its obviously not normal, but if you're born that way its not something you've asked for is it. I expect the bushers and the lurchers to "pile in",the ones that don,t id not feed for long.Id not stop a bushing pack from wrecking their quarry,it would be like offering them water with a lid on the bowl.Anything they chase and wreck is par for the cause,especially pest species,anything i salvage in time goes in the pot or freezer.When a team become accustomed to the other members its common for the pack to relinquish certain quarry to a dominant lurcher,or else,the team become accustomed to such and react accordingly at the catch,other times and other catches they "pile in" ,anything reluct -
I agree homo's have been around as long as humans have mate,the problem with them is in modern times they've been allowed to adopt and spread degenerate lifestyles and behaviour,but plenty of straight people do that too. But there's no debate about it,gender dysphoria is a mental illness,and it can be treated. As BGD says above, a lot of doctors are pumping kids with hormones and even doing sex change surgery on them to treat this condition. Iv'e never looked into it mate tbh, gay stuff's not on my "to do" list tbh lol..................Nurture or circumstance must play a part?

I don't think its a mental illness, i think its probably a genetic error, crossed wire. Its just fate, i don't think they choose it, or most don't. Living a lie to cover it up will give you a mental illness though The coppers did a raiding spree of the local gay meeting places, pulled me twice walking the dogs I was having the crack with one of the coppers, and he reckoned a good percentage of the blokes they caught at it were married, to me that's worse than this somehow, he's not hurting anybody, and his family are behind him, he must have been a decent sort for them to do that?

If its just one stem growing out of the ground you could dig down a bit and cut it at the roots, cut the stem and its likely to split.

You can make a stick out of it mate, the problem is its hard to dry it out without it splitting. Its got a hollow "vein" running through it, like any tree or plant with a hollow it dries out to quick and splits, even sealing the cut ends with wax don't usually work. The trick is to cut the branch that the stick is growing from well below the part you want, just leave it where it is for a few months and see if it splits, that way you've only got one saw cut invested in it. If it doesn't split cut it down to a size you can get home, but still leave some extra. After that just put it somewhere th

That's one of the reasons i wont use terriers for bushing these days mate, most want to pile in on the catch, been there done that. Don't have that problem these days with my spaniel x, she just don't pile in, if she catches something the lurcher mugs her, which means she never gets to retrieve, or rarely, so still not ideal, but better than a tug of war. Hard problem to solve ain't it, maybe a good topic for a thread, see how other lads go about things? -

Its a brilliant catch mate, the dogs look spot on, but after that the vid makes me cringe, the dog turns towards you with the rabbit, wagging his tail, you're on top of him a bit quick, then you get a good grip on his collar, and the dog gets a better grip on his rabbit, you even look a bit nervous about getting bit when the terrier comes in? Not a dig mate, iv'e gone and spoilt my lurchers close catch retrieves myself, he brings them 100 yds, but he wont bring them from 10/20. Just an opinion, but you're making the dog possessive by getting in there to quick, any walking towards the do -

i wondered why my balls had dropped to me ankles since eating it. All that mercury i guess lol.starting to wish i didnt share the pic now Sorry mate, no offence intended. I read about some scientific survey they did on eels, supposedly a legit study, don't see why it wouldn't be on eels, they said eels do absorb more chemicals, which makes sense to me if they live so long? and advised against eating them, just a heads up really

Big difference between addictive, and habit forming Kay..............bacca's or nicotine in bacca is addictive, there's nothing in weed that's addictive, if there were the government would splash it all over. Its bound to be habit forming, humans like things that make them feel good, anything that feels good easily becomes a habit for most people. Your workmate is probably a dopey type anyway? There's an even better reason than conservation not to eat big eels...........Because they live so long in our fresh water systems their body gets the chance to absorb more chemicals, just think of all the pesticides and other chemicals farmers use, some waterways are full of heavy metals, i wouldn't eat something that's been grubbing about in that lot for 70 years.

thats rubbish worked small terriers all my life never a problem the only time they slowed up was when they were older took longer to get over a days hunting,any terrier would be knackered working cover everyday, Every terrier might,Beddy,s don,t,fact. beddys dont what fact I should have stated proper working bred Bedlingtons and not the dross that masquerades,falsely,as a Bedlington.Ive owned and grafted a multitude of terriers,often lineage unknown,ive yet to find any that have the stamina of a Beddy or its hybrid.A retired Beddy bitch here grafted on her own,for the lurchers f

I remember the exact moment x'ing a spaniel with a whippet entered my head funnily enough..........Me and an old mate were having a casual mooch about with a couple of lurchers and his two ESS bitches...........Walking over a set aside field the spaniels picked up a scent, and one of them flushed a cock pheasant from some rough grass, the spaniel jumped for the bird just missing it (these spaniels aren't shot over, they nail game) my mate turned to me and said something like "they need a bit of whippet" and it started me thinking about the whippet x terriers, whippet lab from years ago....

No really good pics mate, i can't load any new ones up either, my laptops acting up with pics vids? I don't class the little bitch as a "runner" at all mate, fast busher that takes the odd bit of game that's all, but that was what i wanted so only used a 19" stud dog over a 16" spaniel bitch, fair turn of speed for her size though, very agile, and the best tree climber iv'e ever seen.
