Guys I just wanted to make a post to highlight the way I was treated by leica recently. just over a year ago I bought a set of leica 10*42 geovid laser binos second hand. The guy had lost his warrenty card but They were immaculate, worked perfect and were a good price so I bought them even though I had no warrenty, they were allready a year old at this stage.a couple months ago I noticed they were not ranging as well in bright conditions at longer range, then all of a sudden they were struggling to range past 600m.I put this down to needing a battery,I changed the battery but things got worse, sud

Its amazing how much weight they loose in a few weeks , at the start of the season they where in fabulous condition they seemed to have had a great summer piling on weight .I had one in the coldroom at a tad over 197lb ..the buck I shot the other day was 121lb & he was about skin & bone ..That said I heard a buck still grunting last Wednesday ..I think in general its done here as well .. Are those weights with head off and full gralloch done ? 197 is a monster

Was waiting in a ditch-line dividing two fields looking onto some forestry when I spotted this guy in the opposite field , he was 240m away and grazing away from me with a doe with him.As it was an open field I couldnt stalk any closer so i lay on the bank and took a heart shot.he folded over with a mighty thump from the impact, lifted his head once then never moved again,The doe ran on another 20 m and stopped to look back but I decieded to let her go as I knew I would have enough work with the drag with this guy alone.shot with a 165gr remy accutip 308

Few fish from earlier this year. Bought a new feeder rod as I broke my 15 year old dam quickstick carp feeder on a large bream .So I decided to christen the new browning on a few tench.I Was fishing a quiet little spot on lough Ree and baited up for 2 days with flake maize, brown crumb maggot and corn.Fished it on the third morning for a little over 6 hours,Caught 5 tench lost 3. Got a few roach to 1 lb and a few bream to 2 lb.The swim was a weedy little spot fished tight against some lillys in about 4 foot of water.I fished using ledger and quiver and also using a clear waggler using the lift

Opening Season Morning

This is the bullet that dropped the second fallow I took in my first post of this thread. It was a 165gr remy accutip in 308 fired at 180m.I was shooting in a standing position off sticks aiming for heart but pulled it slightly forward and it hit the front leg ,passed through doing good damage inside and didnt exit, deer dropped on the spot. When I skinned and butchered today I found the bullet had passed through to the opposite side broke through a rib and stopped inside the pelt.Hard get a good pic of it but its mushroomed lovely, would like to weigh it to see what was retained. and here is the -
myself and the father were up and out waiting for first light.Nothing came out of the woods to the field we were lying in wait so we crossed over to another permission I have.On walking into the field we spotted a doe who eventually spotted us and ran off, luckily she didnt spook two prickets who were graziing in the next field,We stalked into about 150m and dared not go further as it was open field after that but the prickets were grazing with their arses to us.I got into a sitting position on sticks as rushes were too high for a prone shot and droped the first pricket with 165gr accutip 308
