That's a happy looking dog ! I have a four year old Miniature Schnauzer, which hasn't been out with me since I've started shooting with an air gun. Has anyone got experience with this breed, or think she will get the hang of it pretty quickly, seems a shame not to take her with me.

Nice to get out if only for a couple of hours, managed a rabbit pretty quickly shooting from a gate then another which made the mistake of running along the hedge line and stopping. Took timeout to enjoy the views across the river and the colony of nesting Egrets, which are now so common in this country. A few more had a reprieve by darting into the hedge just as I got into position, then it was back to the car, feeling in a lighter mood after time well spent.

Nice write up Chris, it's almost like being their with you ! Amazing how time flies when you are sitting waiting for them to show, a couple of hours goes by in no time. Funny how the looking away or having a doze seems to work more often than not. You then look up & they are out and feeding happily unaware of you !
