Nice shooting that! About the 100 and distance, I pushed mine through the chrono last week. It arrived at 11.5lb and seemed to be taking stuff way out beyond my usual comfort zone with a sub 12. Anyway, still just around 11lb. So, a distance test with an egg, my target favourite except with the shotgun. It was popping eggs at 70 yards no problem. For the sake of repeating myself and others, the accuracy is amazing. Is it boring? Well no, its a tool and it does the job, humanely. As a target rifle its brilliant too. Lets face it, nothing seems as accurate, even in a wind. Its my pick up and

No, it won't. Most S410s have a twang. Something you have to put up with.

I started clays about two months ago Alfie. I wanted an all round gun for walk up as well and I am on a budget. Tried several including Beretta's and Browning. However settled for A Webley 912 Sporter, about 7/12 pounds and the fit is nigh on perfect for me. At £700 it came in way below the Silver Pigeon and others by £600. I use 28g and 24g 7's and there is hardly any recoil. I shoot off about two hundred rounds per session, others have tried it, including a coach, all have liked it. Its had a few outings on pigeons as well and performs really well. No complaints from me on my choice and I

HW or a Swift Stumpy, that BSA thing is awful. In my humble opinion. -
Do folk still use springers then?

Got my HW100 from them, first rate service. Test certificate and they pay the RFD fee for you. Nice bunch to deal with. -

Paul if you are on a tight budget look at that Gamo Coyote, its a BSA really and seems to shoot well. Although I think like the other blokes say the S410 is the best route. Or an S400 and add a Rowan magazine when money allows, its all the 400 action which is one of the best there is. Once you start with PCP theres no going back, the choice is amazing and all are deadly accurate. I bought an HW100 a few months ago and love it but will never part with my S410, its knocked hundreds of rabbits over in six years and never fails me. Shot count on an unregulated S410 around 85 in .22 and 65 in . -
I don't brag. Chris has got it right. I have shot pigeon like this for a few years now every spring. I use plastic and flocked deeks out to fifty yards and always downwind where possible. Two weeks ago I put the hide up the night afore, deeks out at first light on some sprouting wheat. Small groups of three and four, about twenty in total. It was the first outing for a new HW100 in .17. Nice mornings bag of fifteen, just taking the odd few then letting it settle again. All head shots and the rifle is so quiet you don't really disturb them. My best day ever with this method was 28 last year

Back to shooting......it is a classic. I love mine in .22, my main bunny gun and its accounted for hundreds in six years. Gods honest truth it has never let me down. After the Gaystate fiasco last year I was on the verge of giving up PCP's. It was the S410 that stopped me, look after it and it will look after you. But Mac, only two? Sporter stock you see, we wiser shooters know about thumbholes. My man Villa and I you see, never wrong

Second Hand Bsa Ultra Se

Just some foil and gun oil. Clean it every time you use it. I like cleaning guns because I am a military trained robot. To me rust on a rifle is a sign of a lazy owner. And yes, I have got some really old stuff with no rust on any of them. Good buy and enjoy it, a cracking little rifle.
