Nice setup there, tried a few of the ready made mixes (susmans) I think It was. Also tried making some droewors (dried sausage) they were lovely. Unfortunately was a borrowed sausage stuffer we used. -

If your making for the dog use thin strips 1 cm by 0.5 cm and dry using kitchen paper not salt. Use the vinegar as per and for rub use turmeric and ground flax seed with a little dried mint. -

Hi all we make a !of of biltong at home, its a definite family favourite. I hope this is of interest to others, our biltong box was a first temp build 2 years ago but its nerely always in use so it does look very heath Robinson but it works very well so hear goes. To make the biltong box : Either use a small wooden box/ cupboard approx 40 x40 cm x 1 never high or one of the toy boxes with a lid will work. You need a standard 240v light fitting Cable and plug, 40 w bulb one of the old style ones is needed. A PC fan and variable 3 - 12v power supply Pack of tights ( preferably not worn

Walter Lgu Vs Hw 77 /97
Martin Hinchliffe replied to Martin Hinchliffe's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I think its more a phsycological thing re break barrel vs underleaver as I have seen many break barrels that can put pellet on pellet but its the fact the barrel breaks in my brain that's just odd compared to the underleaver. Having said that I learnt on a break barrel when I was a kid old BSA lightning I think it was and when I had it sussed out it was lovely and accurate. -
Just spotted the rewiew on the Walter lgu having never shouldered or even seen a Walter rifle does anyone own one and how do they stack up to the hw under leavers and the tx200 Have decided on underleaver syle as I think they would be slightly more accurate than break barrel also like the look of them particially thumbhole stock versions like the hw97k

Hi will soon be getting my first air rifle, am looking either at hw77 , hw97 , tx200 ,hw98. Would like to support local shop rather than net store. I have noticed that the hw's from sportsman are not badged does this mean anything or just they are not badged with hull cartridge mark? Any other gun shops to reccomed in the Torbay area +25 mile radius also any to advoid. Regards Martin

Hi all just getting back into shooting again after a ten year break, used to have FAC but had to give them up after bad bike accident They have me on morphine all time now due to nerve damage hence decided to get rid of FAC as I could not shoot perms I had and the fact I had attention span of a goldfish. Thankfully things have stabilised as much as they will until I end up on wheels permanently. Looking to get back into target shooting with airifle which I still have to buy. Currently I'm looking at a hw97kth but also like the look of the Walter lgu. Have read a lot of info and help full p
