  8. went out this morning for a couple of hours as my site is shut due to the high ,so no work for me! took my 15month old lurcher and three jills with me, iv just picked up a new bit of permition so thought id have a look round. found a lovely little earth to work, the ferrets worked like little demons and bolted quite a few all at once, sam held one in the net while i cleared another, really should have set up the long net as i lost a few in the hedge as it was a bit to close to the berrys. i wont make that mistake again! caught four, was so pleased with sams listening and marking he is learni
  9. bloody wind has put of work today so took my lurcher and ferrets out for a bit of sport, as you can see from the pictures sam is doing really well for only 15 months, he is marking and listening real good and if i get a bolter it doesnt get very far. i should of taken my long net as i had quite a few get into the hedge next to the berrys only ended up with four but lost a few but hey you live and learn. just had a couple of hours befor the sky opened up once more, and i saw a black rabbit on my permision! dont see many of them in my area.

  11. just a quick update on sam and my earlier post, took sam out tonite and to my amazement after a lot of encouragment sam retrieved two to hand!!!!! i am well chuffed, so it just goes to show, give um time and dont give up on the training and encouragement.
  12. hi it was nice and windy down here in sussex last nite so decided to take sam my 15 month old whippit cross out,set off at seven got five in the end so well pleased coming along good , the only promblem he will not bring them back he just kills them ,did bring two back about a month a go ,what can i do to get him to bring them back ,bring a rabbit dummy back every time

  14. i have used advocate on my lurcher sice he was a pup and he has never had any thing mate. he gets a free tape wormer with evey six months of advocate bought. i have never had any kind of problem with infestations and my dog eats rabbit after its been frozen for at least three weeks.it is quite expensive but i think my dog is worth it.
  15. sam is 15 months old and started to have very loose stools about eight days ago, i starved him for one day and then only gave him chicken and rice which has helped but his stools are still loose. he has only ever been fed james welbeloved and has always thrived on this. he is a working lurcher used for ferreting and lamping of which i have done noe of this with him since he starting showing symtoms of not being quite right. he seems much better in himself so i have put him back onto his dry mix but still his stools are loose not diareha but loose. he is eating and drinking well and is still ru

  19. my dog did a similar thing the other week, stuck his head through a barbed wired fence when on a slip, wasnt until we got back to the car that i realised he was badly bleeding and like your dog it bled every where including all up the wall of the missis newly decorated kitchen walls. every time i thought it had stopped he shook his head and started it of again in the end the wife cleaned it up and put on some of that new skin on that she had bought for the kids at the chemist and it worked just perfect!
