    Your Hands!

Gloves for protection whenever you can and use a cheap handcream at night, like Atrixo. I've heard that you can apply some creams heavily and then put cotton gloves on at night, though I not tried it. Ungeuntum merck is also very good and still cheaper than that L'occitane stuff.
  2. They probably don't give their real name and address when caught!
  3. Good on you! As said you got to really want to stop to keep it going. I gave up in 1990 after 10 - 12 years of heavy smoking (20 - 40 a day). It was bloody hard at first, but I wouldn't want to smoke now even if you paid me.
  4. There are others in the SE too, eg Herts County Show is good. I agree Kent is a good one though too!
  5. Glad it's OK. I found the batteries that mine came with were OK, but the higher capacity set I bought later are much better.
  6. The original sky news item was put up at 22:31 on Tuesday 31 March 2015 UK time and Florida is 5 hours behind us.
  7. I'd have thought the father would have been arrested by now.
  8. If the batteries and charger are the same as mine it should be absolutely fine. However a friend of mine was charging his batteries on a different light he had bought from eBay (item location China!) and the batteries exploded. It was at work on his desk and it was quite serious. I actually sat next to him, but we were both away from our desks when it went off, or there would have been injuries. To be sure, I would monitor the charging the first few times - but as I said, mine are fine and I charge these batteries in our front room without any problem at all. They barely get warm in fact.
  9. I was at RAF Cranwell when the invasion happened. It came on the news in the mess TV and some one said it looked a bit boring and asked to switch channels and as no-one said anything, he did. I also remember being at a dinner a bit later and visiting officer made a speech in which he couldn't tell us the runway was being bombed that night (so he didn't). Yes oil and minerals all along, but I agree we didn't look particularly strong in that conflict, though the distance didn't make it easy. We'd better make ourselves more ready this time. Not cutting the defence budget would be a good help
  10. Well I am very happy with one of these which I bought in September 2013. I also bought an extra set of additional, higher capacity batteries here last Christmas. Can't really go wrong at £11 for the torch and £6 for extra batteries. I had to repair it once, but that was my fault - I caught it on something and ripped out the wires. One thing to note though, on the tightest zoom setting the beam is a rectangle, not a circle, but I don't find that a problem at the range you may need it.
  11. Despite what happened being down to your dog, I would ask them politely to justify the £150. Then if it makes sense, offer a bit less - maybe £100.
  12. I just got one of these. The first they sent was crap, so I complained and they sent me a really good one to replace it and I am very happy with it. It's only a 14" screen mind. You can ask them not to put a sticker over the lid too.
  13. Some good shots here : http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/solar-eclipse-watch-online-manchester-8880397
  14. Hurray !! Great stuff. Nothing happened here apart from it getting a little dull. The sun's out now though of course.
  15. Take some-one with you and when there's too many for them to carry, they can take them back to your vehicle and come back for more.
  16. Have you read their policy on gun control : http://policy.greenparty.org.uk/cj.html
  17. Try registering with the TPS : http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html
  18. Think it was about 1000/1, 2.8 as the light was bad. On servo, but no servo in the world can move as fast as a golden streak of speed.... Could its eye have been where its back is in the picture when you focussed and then by the time the shutter went off it had moved on?
  19. What was the aperture and shutter speed. As it was moving when you took it were you on one shot or servo focus ?
  20. Nice shooting - I struggled to hit a barn door when I had a catty, so switched to air rifles and shotguns.
  21. I can't see why we'd have a close season for a non indigenous pest species, although I guess anything is possible these days, especially if some-one decides they have a benefit apart from hunting them. I'd be interested to find out more from scientific studies of the UK rabbit population. So far googled a couple of news items : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/earth/wildlife/10405933/Deer-numbers-soaring-while-rabbit-hare-and-fox-fall.html http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-magazine-monitor-27919776
