    Don't use detergent! Detergent will ruin the jacket, it will ruin the breathability of your jacket. Try products like Nikwax Tech Wash to wash it and Nikwax TX Direct for reproofing it.

    Can't go wrong with a pair of Bridgedales! Rough and tough, will last for ages!

    What about trying a pair of wax leggings or overtrousers. The benefits of wearing leggings is that you get the protection on your legs but freedom in the 'bum' area! Wax is tough and waterproof and great for walking through tough terrain. Wax over trousers may be a bit hot, but the leggings are great for clipping on to your belt, plus they are easy to put on and pull off!

    Hi My name is Bethan and I have a passion for gundogs, and hunting dogs. I currently have two Beagles and live in the highest village of Wales - Bwlchgwyn.
