  1. saving this page, these look awesome! I will be having a bash at making a drying box at some point once I clear up some house space. I take it that its a heat bulb in the bottom?
  2. We've got a ginger cat that regularly pukes up stuff that looks like that Failing that, owl pellet from an owl thats just eaten a ginger cat
  3. I picked this up a while back. Its an absolute cannon! Still haven't managed to pick up any lead 10 bore cartridges for it although have tried a few places who only stocked steel shot in 10 bore. Cant wait to have a go with it! it seems to point pretty well for an anti aircraft gun
  4. This is a story about a couple who had been happily married for years, the only friction in their marriage was the husband’s habit of farting loudly every morning when he awoke the noise would wake his wife and the smell would make her eyes water and make her gasp for air. -- Every morning she would plead with him to stop ripping them off because it was making her sick. He told her he couldn't stop it and that it was perfectly natural. She told him to see a doctor, she was concerned that one day he would blow his guts out. The years went by and he continued to rip them out. Then one Christma
  5. The ban has nothing to do with animal welfare either wild or domesticated What's it all about then low plains drifter just a political thing to win a few more votes maybe ? It was to distract the public away from the Iraq war
  6. I don't think hunters have any significant impact on numbers when there is an established and plentiful population. Unless one area is hammered repeatedly. Where i live there is no shortage, it's mostly arable and a there are a number of fields with box traps scattered about (not sure how much they're used). I need 3 rabbits per day to break even between dogs and ferrets food. I am out for a walk every night locally when I'm not out further a field lamping and I only take 3 maybe 5-6 times a week (only fit 3 in pockets). I've been here three years and seen no difference in the numbers. Thi
  7. iam not sure I agree up here on on the sw Scotland we have been catching more in the last 2 years then we ever caught in 20 years but we have seen a decrease. Of grey mullet though I was asking the question mate, I've barely done any fishing for bass in the uk and the only place I go fishing off shore in uk is off the Yorkshire coast/ north east where you don't hear of them. All I know is that the Breton coast is pretty dire but the lads on here who go out for bass never seem to do so bad
  8. Is there an actual problem with bass numbers in the uk or is this something we've got because of Europe? I've spent years through the summer off the coast of Brittany in France and there always seemed more 20-30 years ago than there are now and even back then I remember my grandad moaning that there weren't the numbers there used to be 30 years before
  9. still bloody quick and sharp at 45 years old !!!!! tough brute,I remembrr that documentry , think it was a fix at the end the opponent didnt show , but a gypsy kid stood in as a replacement and gave him a bit of a run for his money lol I think I remember the documentary. Turned out in the 'fight' the bald guy was supposed to have was against someone who used to go to college or school with him. The Journalist who was doing the documentary figured it out and pulled him about it. classic. Seem to remember the documentary ending with him giving it "I just wanted to be somebody"
  10. had the show started yet? is there a link for it online?
  11. may well be mate. I stay near Zaltbommel in the sticks when I go. I wouldnt hold your breath though if you're expecting it will be any better than the UK/Ireland for numbers. There is some good stuff out there but nothing to write home about in terms of volume. Still worth taking your dogs though
  12. Holland is ace to be fair, people have always seemed pretty relaxed and approachable. It's a busy country though and even in the sticks they don't seem to have the same open countryside as we have. Fields always seem to be boxed in with roads. Some decent stuff there though. It's the law as well that Sighthounds have to be muzzled when walked. Although I've spent a few weeks over there now and have never seen anything being enforced in that way
  13. The piece I think your referring to is about one of the members in here, there's a massive thread called RSPCA on here that's gone on for the duration of the case. They do that sort of thing all the time unfortunately but what can you expect they are run by fundamentalists from lacs
  14. Handy looking dog pal.. Thanks mate, he does fine by me
  15. Hi All, Does anyone have a captive bolt gun they no longer have a use for that they want to sell? As long as its in safe working condition, I'm not bothered about the look of it. Thanks
  16. It's pretty windy here, noise in the trees is deafening! Just got back from walking the dogs and picked up a handful of very easy, wind swept rabbits. Not sure if there's worse to come but if it stays like this, long may it continue
  17. Exactly. a 1:12" twist is a 1 :12" twist, so they might be able to tell the twist rate of the gun it came from, but there might be minute differences between individual guns (unintentionally) that could theoretically tell them apart if they could find a bullet to examine. His mate's still a bellend though. I wonder if he really has a FAC? Exactly a total bell. Unless the barrel has been hand made by the geeky guy from day of the jackal it's been factory made, there will be 000s like it, the differences will be impossible to see. Especially after it's been smashed through stuff. If so
  18. Whatever. That little disabled lady that whizzes round in her electric chair on Silent Witness knows who's done it before they've done it Lol! Sometimes they have it cut and dry but mostly they use the threat of forensics to get people to be honest in statements
  19. I don't believe they are individual by design. It may be that forensics can connect a bullet with a gun if they have both in their possession and stuff like twist rate etc will be a factor in identifying it but there will be other guns that would produce similar marks on the same brand of bullet. but it' won't be the same as a finger print. Forensics isn't always as black and white as they make out on csi etc
  20. and she will probably stay in them all day then go to bed in them, and the same for days, minge like sticking yer tongue on a square battery, have to kick the crust off it before ya go near, Ming rats, they're the Facebook Jeremy Kyle generation 'Minge like sticking your tongue on a square battery' quality phrase! Will be reusing that!
  21. I've had a fair few of them off the roads, always ones that look less than a day old. Never caused any problems. I've never found a road killed one without its guts burst though.
