The people who are selling it sound like idiots. They want to get rid of it because it kills coons yet don't want to sell it to someone that sees that as a plus point. Presumably they are wanting to sell it to someone else who also has an issue with it killing stuff! I always play my cards pretty close to my chest regards hunting when speaking to new people.

I know a similar wise lad,He reckons when a lad gets hes cur for the first 2 seasons you will here about all the great lamping its doing,By third season things are starting to get quite,You might even hear if someone else was out with him, that the dog wasn't running right and had to go home early. He reckons you wont hear any more lamping tales after that and the cur will suddenly age 2 or 3 years.Mind he also says if a lad cannot tell you hes dogs faults you cannot believe the dogs merits. Probably just the cider he be drinking? Definitely agree about not recognising your own dogs faults/

Cheers lads, I only really keep the ferrets to take to kids out as its mostly lamping i do, they love it The rough coated one is about 4 and a bit years now, the big smooth coated dog is 3 1/2 now cheers

I took the kids for a blast out with the dogs and ferrets today and the farmers son joined us. I've just got hold of this piece of woodland as permission. It's wedged between fields and I have permission on each side, so I often see them running into the woods when out with the lamp so knew there would be some about. I was pretty slack with the nets only ever netting up about a 3rd of the holes to keep things interesting for the dogs. We had some good catches/runs and escapes before the boys started to get tired. Certainly plenty more to go at for next time.

Probably this one -
Thanks mate, I've had a gander, there is no where really that they're likely to be laying. They've been in the same spot a while and there's no more vegetation about
-
Yeh thanks mate, I figured it probably had something to do with the onset of winter etc. Problem Ive got is that there are 6 chickens only two of which were laying (they are young and i figured the others hadnt matured yet as they were a different breed. Probably the broodyness just coinciding with the onset of winter. I keep lifting it out the nesting box but theres never any eggs under it Cheers
-
Hi All, This may be a daft question but bare with us, I'm fairly new with the chickens. I currently have a chicken that is broody. Is there anything that can be done to stop this? Is it just a matter of time till it stops this. There are 6 chickens in the coup so it's hard to know for certain but while it brooding there seems to be less eggs being produced, Is this something to do with the broody hen not producing egg or just the time of year maybe slowing them down? Any suggestions welcome. thanks

Who was she referring to when she said that? If its you why not pass it on to your brief?

They look really nice chubby pups mate, be interesting to see how they turn out
-
Its OK mate, Matt phoned me back to explain. You've got yourself a bargain there, nice one!
-
My two live with two cats they are fine in the house with them. Strange cats they chase though and even when they see the ones we have out in the garden I wouldn't fully trust them
-
Cheers Matt, looking forward to picking it up
-
Pm sent, if it's still Available I will take it for 75 Cheers
-
They would be wasted in a risotto in my opinion, too much other stuff going on. Fried they will be spectacular! Have fun
-
If it helps i would eat them based on the pics. There are lots of others that do look similar which are also edible like the orange birch bolete Can never say though with 100% from the Internet though. Cut a tiny bit off it and try it, if you turn green your face swells up and you grow a third nipple, it probably isn't a good one lol I am almost positive these are alright though
-
They look like it to me. Even if they are not they look like a member of the boletus family which are usually good. Do some more research though before eating I don't want your death on my conscience
-
If they offer out of court settlement which I would expect they will once they know you're not going to just go away. You could probably expect a gagging clause to stop you bad mouthing them or taking them to court again for the same case. Be a shame if they made you stop the Facebook site, it's got a fair old coverage of people getting updates and raising awareness.

Plenty round here this year back in spring,
-
Keep at them mate. I would imagine that your Facebook page and the stuff you're putting on that will be costing them a few quid as well

Apparently they have filed accounts mate... I think it's about 450 million they have!

Business Banking
Slippery_Weasel replied to shropshire mole's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
I use hsbc for my business banking, a few things have been pissing me off recently so I did a quick search on what the best ones are. seemed to be suggesting Lloyds and a few others, hsbc didnt even feature in the top ten -
I shot myself in the foot once with an air rifle, that was pretty numb
