  1. I suppose it is a bit much asking. Lot of breeds involved in the make up. Just a brief run down would do.
  2. Great day had by all it seems. Dogs look in great order. How is each one bred from left to right?
  3. I would avoid the modern GSD, especially the show ones that look like they are draging their back legs along the ground and suffer big time from hip problems ect, they have also lost a lot of their protective way, but not the ones i put up in the clips above. The BM, are great too, if you get the right breeding.
  4. This is how the old german shepherd was as seen below. Here a pup, learning and some adults. These GSD, are from the old DDR, have not changed since before the berlin wall came down. Their guarding, drive ect, is unreal, i have seen for my salf personally what they can do, would have one by my side any day walking down a crazy saturday night town street, full of drunks ect lol. Free from all Hip problems ect. The pup https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9UVcWkGDdxk&list=UUOQxXQFTCY97kZfx7qMKgrw Working adults https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bg7_PLAavtw&list=UUOQxXQFTCY97
  5. I have seen a pure saluki some years ago here in the uk box a hare very well and kill it on a small paddock. They learn to adapt.
  6. When i use to work out in the middle east, most salukis out in the deserts killed everything but the livestock around their camps, from desert wolves to desrt mice. Only the best survived and worked and passed on the genes, which has been going on for a very long time and has assured a Unique breed of dog. They are not your normal domestic dog, well the ones i seen anyway, they were moreless feral, but hunted along side the men that had them.
  7. Their was a topic on this recently, as seeh below. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/332756-pup-eating-faeces/
  8. Pure salukis below lamping, i seen this clip on you tube the other evening, seems like the owner knows how to bring them on.
  9. Enjoyed the wright up and clip of the pup, coming on very well by the sound of it and the clip, thank you.
  10. Forgot to mention this, yes, it does work from passed experience.
  11. My one is still a pup yet, she is 4 and a half months old. Coming on well. Her mother was german import working lines and her sire was a mixture of working and show lines. She is coming on well with training, strong drive.
  12. She sounds well bred and your doing well with her in my opinion. Hopefully she will grow out of it, most do.
  13. Quiet common in GSD pups. If they dont get enough stimulation and doing different things everyday. My GS pup has done it, but i have told her no and distracted her, she seems to be getting better as she gets older. I think most of them grow out of it. I also find, some pups are worse than others. Some will just eat a bit, others go out their way to eat every scrap thats about. Just as a matter of interested, is your GSD working bred or show?
  14. I am sorry but if you can not take home and eat what you have killed, then dont do it! Coursing these days is mainly all about the ££ ! Dont tell me its not, as i have been their! Most coursing dogs change hands like second hand cars, getting shifted from one home to another. One home could be ok, then the other they get run til they drop, then bred from till they die, pumping out litter after litter to make as much money as possible. This is why so many criminals are involved in it, big gambling money to be made. It seems to be getting worse. This is why it was all banned and the decen
  15. Paracetamol is poison to dogs. I find this in the passed below very good, it comes with a syringe that has the exact body weight of the dog. http://www.norbrook.com/products/loxicom-15mg-ml-oral-suspension-for-dogs
  16. My eldest son got this dvd (Chalky and the boys 2) a while back and he was sickened to see 2 clowns messing about with dead hares, they had about as much respect as a skin head all boozed up in the countryside! Disgraceful. Throwing dead hares into hedges after and joking around like 2 school kids on the skive! No wonder coursing got banned, when you have clowns like these to add fuel to the fire!
  17. Yes. On the instructions, it says to part the hair and apply to skin only, but even when the dog is still, its hard to get it all on the skin, as it runs on to the hair as well, if you know what i mean SC? Wonder does it work at all when this happens?
  18. You must have a lot of time on your hands? Do you work?
  19. No problem TL. Thats a fine age for him to live to, 93.
  20. Good stuf that. Only problem i have with it is to get the dog to stand still while putting it on, a lot can get on the fur and not the skin.
  21. That sounds like something fron the game of thrones. lol But i know what you mean. Id say she would get attacked and killed by a resedant pack.
