  1. Thought it was another really good show. Plenty of decent dog lads there today and a good show of proper grafters. Well done North wales T&L club!
  2. My favourite too Bosun. Don't attend many shows anymore but this one I make special effort
  3. Was Kev's funeral today. Only standing space left. Says volumes for him. A well respected lurcherman and countryman. R.I.P friend.
  4. I've never seen a litter about this early, but heard foxes calling first week in November so there could be cubs on the ground.
  5. It is with a saddened heart that I write this. Well respected Cheshire lurcherman Kevin Rowlands died today. My thoughts go out to Nikki and his family.
  6. Just been speaking to the local keeper who wasn't too happy and who can blame him. He had someone driving the land on the estate lamping. Going through electric fences and leaving gates open. Dogs running free killing gear and leaving it lying around. Well who ever drives this red Isuzu thanks very much. Farmers and police are every where looking for anyone out with a dogs. These idiots are not dog men. They have no respect for the countryside or those that live in it. No respect for their dogs or the quarry. complete tossers!!!!!!
  7. Had one from him. In 25 years of owning and training lurchers to a fair standard, I can say that this is probably one of the worst lurchers that I have owned for prey drive. It was none existent!
  8. You may wonder why you can no longer view this video but this is typical of Hewitt trying to cover her harassment charge after she had realised that these men were well within the rights of the law and she was not!
  9. Yes this has been a result and rightly so. These men were carrying out terrier work to the letter of the law. Judi Hewitt has been found guilty and charged. It is a credit to these professional terrier men and a lot of people would do well to follow their example of how to conduct terrier work.
  10. Ex track dogs tend to end up injured but the one I had was reared as a lurcher and had many seasons under her belt
  11. Some people hang on to pedigrees more than the ability of the dogs. surely you should be breeding from working attributes rather than the name behind the breeding. We all have sucsesfull dogs and failures, even in the best tried lines and should breed accordingly.
  12. Had a greyhound bitch a few years back, she would mark and retrieve rabbits. Work well on the lamp, recall was spot on. She could kill fox and hare single handed back in the days when it was legal. Only got her to produce a litter of lurchers but ended up keeping her as well as a pup because she was so handy.
  13. Remember a while back where a raving lunatic anti had approached a couple of lads and filmed them carrying out fox control with a terrier and started screaming when they shot the fox then posted it on youtube, well she is up on a charge herself. see countryside alliance website. Don't know how to post link.
  14. New to this site. Been involved in fieldsports for over 30 years. Enjoy them all. Main interests are Hounds, Lurchers & Terriers. Occasionally pick up a rod and gun to fill in spare time but this is becoming something a rarity.
