  1. As everyone else has said your 'cousin' needs to learn a thing or two about what it takes to provide a good quality of life for a dog, or any animal for that matter, but the most important thing is the effort you are making to see this dog right and land him in the home he deserves. Wish there were alot more dog men like yourself. Yours in admiration Ant
  2. When will come the day when someone can sell a dog on here without all the suspicion and little jibs
  3. Or try the Kennel club themselves, they were very helpfull when i was trying to find a curly coated retriever stud to cover my bitch They do look like a nice little dog though can imagine them to be exactly the same as a beardie X though
  4. If somebody representing their company has quoted and agreed a price with you and then changed it once your card has been debited half of the amount you should insist you will not be paying a penny more than the original quoted amount, if they cannot keep to this promise request the amount be immeadiatly re-debbited back onto your card and the order cancelled.
  5. Im looking for a good vet in the merseyside area who will dock tails. Any of the lads know of any ? ant
  6. Probably the 'best' and most expensive complete puppy food you can buy, was given two bags for nowt by a friend not so long ago and the pups come on fantastic weaned a litter of shepherds and a litter of jacks on it. That beings said the pups are in equally good nick when weaning on £4 bag of Gusto out the wholesalers. Mince mixed in with any complete puppy food brings them on a treat. Ant
  7. Its good that the bloke offered you the dog back, if people bring pups back i have bred, for whatever reason, i thank them. Instead of lobbing it in the dogs home or as your said getting passed from pillar to post i would rather make sure the dog i bred is setteled in the right home with the right people, something that when breeding a litter can be hard to do. Ant
  8. Great news made up four you and the dog ... Know how ya feel mate, my yard got screwed about 3 months ago by local no marks. Took 3 russells out of their kennel and My little old heinz 57 lurcher bitch was missing along with my german shepherd . . We got a tip off and got the dogs back from the scum who swore down they let the lurcher and shepherds roam free at the yard. Hard to believe as they would not dare roam away. Theyre later turned up in Halewood dogs home, the Shepherds brought in by member of the public had do pay boarding fees. The lurcher caught by the dog warden in a phea
  9. Its just two sides if the penny people dont like to flip that often. If you realy believed that crossing a Ridgeback witha greyhound or lurcher would produce a litter of very capable and efficient hunting dogs than why not? After all every other lurcher cross was invented by experimenting after hopefuly an 'informed ' decison. However, to breed a litter of pups that are going to prove hard to allocate good working homes to is highly irresponcible. Admititdly some folk dont like change. . . But most folk are dreading the thought of 'likeminded' backyard ' dog men' breeding this cross w
  10. Work 3 days in a Barclaycard trying to tell people they need to repay the money theyve spent. and mess around with the dogs, breeding buying selling and whelping for other people. Love it Ant
  11. A social iscolate who clearly has no conception of anything remotley related to british wildlife, the countryside or the eco-system. People like that thrive on attention, and from the safety of his bedroom, with his rather nifty headset and microphone he is loving it. How many people has this little prick aggrovated! Someone with a short fuse is going to humanley ( i'd prefer inhumanley) dispatch of this little boy
  12. No doubt many people started with set-ups like that ( i know i did ) But if your willing to pay top price go for a smart setup, if done properly it will last you. Ant
  13. Just wondering how many people out there have any experience with this breed. Ive seen them at shows, and seen a pair at a gamefair a while back and they seem lovely dogs. There are some advertised in Lincoln and im thinking of taking one on, already have a Vizsla was going to opt for another but hey, varieties the spice of life. Any pics, info, experience or advice let me know Ant
  14. Realy nice lab that mate and thats coming from someone who doesnt realy rate the chocoaltes, work or pet. Hope he works well for ya Ant
  15. I know this is a relativley old thread but your spot on swanseajack . . . Theyre not being sold as something theyre not . . . Jack Russells are one of the most common pet dogs there are and small 'minature jack russells' are in high demand. Characterisitics and breed standard the hunting and working dog fraternity appriciate in its dogs are from from the expectations of the general public. As you said theyre not kept in squalid conditions being battery bred from a barn or backgarden. Ant
  16. I was given a Webley tracker for christmas, been out a few times for rats and had the odd maggy out the garden. Anyone heard of or rate this gun?? Ant
  17. Crackin lookin litter mate!! Know how you feel ive had bitches that will just not tolerate any form of bedding or nesting material. I agree wood aint the most hygenic of surfaces but as long as theyre dry, have a lamp over them and have each other they will thrive. D' you rate the wirehaired vizslas for work?? All the best with em Ant
  18. I agree there are many a shite wormer on the market, i use shirleys puppy worming syrup. Comes in a pump bottle, buy it in from the wholesalers. I worm all my pups from two weeks on this stuff and have never had a problem. Doesnt upset their stomachs the way panacur has in the past. Each to their own but you cant say all wormers avail in the supermarket / petshop arent up to scractch... Cheers Ant
  19. Gunna whizz her down the vet tomorrow see what he thinks Cheers Ant
  20. Anyone got any experience with Hernias in puppies? I know it is quite common but in all the pups ive had ive only ever seen it once and it dissapeared a week later. Got a 3 week old pup now and has quite a large umbilical hernia, anyone know the rough price for having this sorted out at the vet? Any info welcome Ant
  21. Cheers mate, took eveyones advice dosed her with belyn and isolated her. She cleared up within a week, unfortunaly every single dog i own and had in at the time caught it too, spread like wild fire so isolating them all was impossible. Few shots of beneyln later its dissapearing. Though i was kenneling sealions for a week or two haha Ant
  22. Deffinatley is an achievment that mate, for the bitch not you that is!! You were in the pub haha A bitch whelping any number of pups has the stuffing knocked out of it for a day or two so for her to whelp 18 puppies sucessfuly is fantastic. Had a lab in not so long ago that whelped 12 puppies, not an enourmous amount i know but still an amount i wouldnt wish on any bitch. The litter im refering to being her first she was a bit clumbsy and being so heavy set made me even more dubious as to wether or not i was going to have a problem on my hands. All 12 made it through the first 24 hours
  23. Looking at all the raw feeding sites and scouring rainmakers posts with intense concentration id say . . swerve the veggies stick to the meat . . . Controversial subject which has caused many a debat but they dont need it. Ant
  24. Some bitches just do not tolerate their pups 24/7 when whelping i whelp in an area big enough for the bitch to spend time away from the puppies if she wishes, aslong as she nipping into the box to feed clean and tend to the pups they should do fine. Ant
  25. Should be great when finished mate, what are the bars made out of? are they just individual bars slotted through the wood? Looks good anyhow good luck Ant
