    I raise my pups softly softly loads of attention, and treat them the same when they grow up and they worship me, but when I bark the little shits stand to attention and take notice lol

    bill back in 1972 I used a whippet over a coursing bitch of mine, and seem to remember some of them names the dog was in south yorks and called A1, if any one knows of him, the pups off him had level backs but one of the bitches off him threw a roach back bitch that was very fast and could hang on for ever, I have an odd photo but its a colly thread and my dogs aint collies.lol

    thanks for your answer, just how little sight hound can you genuinely get away with for what you do, before a pure colly would do, again genuine question.

    as an owner of coursing dogs for almost 50 years, i know very little about colly crosses, your next litter if I understand you right will be less than 1/8 greyhound why do this, a genuine question mate, atb two crows.

    I think for what your doing your bang on the money but like the op said finding one without going to hancock not easy these days.

    good post mate, but back when plummer was in charge, having another bread in them would not be tolerated, and especially saluki blood, and these days a lot seem to like the mix of coursing and hearding types in a general purpose dog.

    just read that I knew most of it, but not the bit about blood vessels, my coursing bred bitch often on cold mornings has her hair stood up, on real cold whet days when I see folk walking their dogs, I always say it would rather have its nose up its ars lol.

    who else has a craft type hobby, I fancied making a chair so I had a go.

    sounds about right forty od years ago my coursing dogs had beddy in, but every pup I bred was smooth coated, yet other people got broken coats later on, so can take generations to come out.
