potassium permanganate think that's spelling, I used to put that on wound after removing dew claws, and other small cuts and nicks stoppers etc, I can remember folk dipping dogs feet in it, wont stop any thing cutting the foot if you run on stony hard ground you take the chance and fix after, ear cropping goes on all over the world .

we cant do either of those things it takes thousands of years of line breading.
-
it gets done from time to time, and often when out crossing to pure, imported or otherwise it clicks, because of these out crosses to pure saluki I think our coursing stuff must be nearly 100% saluki genetically, but physically very different though..
-
rum do mate they bin trying to perfect it for thousands of years an end up buying crosses from here, I could not hold my head up.
-
no they wont that's for sure, I don't either.
-
they look like our line bred stuff, smashing, I see one done its 3, and some of that land looks a bit ropey to, we used to run some horrid land in the wold's.
-
we used to hunt the railway sidings that came from the pit, one morning about half 5 the dog cought a rabbit running towards the bridge where a load of miners were stood the cheers were deafening lol another time fly ran a hare off some land by the village all over some allotments and killed it on the grass opposite the pub, again the response was positive every one knew us, any way get locked up now fkn sad.
-
the problem is there are plenty in the coursing game, and im'e sure lurchers in general, who don't get their money like you and me.
-
how much you want to pay 20,000 pluss for a topper but a few matches and that's back if your lucky, then breeding. but very well bred pups can still be found for 250 ish from a top dogs brother perhaps.
-
there will always be those sort mate but these days its a sight easier to get a hare killer than it ever was, but the failure rate is still high for obvious reasons, there far more rubbish bred for money in general lurchers in my opinion just not big money. and to just add the handler also has to have the skill to get the best out.
-
just needs a bit of a roll and tarmac laying.
-
no one in the coursing game wants a duffer, so they will buy good dogs for big money, but if matching your thing soon get that back, and as for high stud fees lads club together and get a well bred pup for the right money, a big factor in the success of coursing dog development is because its been a competitive sport .

yes mate their mother, I am a very good sport but my bitch was robbed, I think they ran the hare to a small wood my bitch went in and pushed a hare out which the other dog course and won, could of been a different hare and I was in front I think at that point lol I lent my coppy to someone never got it back and cant remember who had it .
