    was this lad the same one who had a dog he thought was 5 and turned out to be nine, if so what happened to that one.

    I saw a realy dark grey one like an arctic fox it called in that close I could not get a shot, never saw it again, a mate went lamping all night and never saw a fox then his mate ran over a white one on the way home, I ask if he has a picture when I see him.

    I have had a few very good coursing dogs in my life and would not dream of selling one, you can spend years trying to get a world beater so no money would buy mine, a pup I bred and sold from the litter for £150 was sold as a young dog for £7,500, I would not of sold it for any price.

    I have court several coloured rabbits over the years and I think they happen naturally, and that's where domestic colours come from like mutation cage birds.

    I went to gingers one day for some wormers, we were having a cup of tea and he was counting out loose worm tabs, and all of a sudden he said fkit and tipped the lot in the bag and said give us a fiver, life's to short. as long as you did not take ginger seriously he was ok in small doses.

    25 years ago I would of fought both of em for the 140 and a night lamping never mind thousands lol.

    when I was an apprentice I shot a labourer in the eye with a bit of snow blown through a copper tube, he went fkin mad i thought I was dead he had a right shiner next day, an older lad from our village tried to splash me by shooting his air gun in a puddle, the pellet bounced off and hit me he was shit scared I would tell my old man, and used to let me borrow it all the time till I got one of my own.

    I don't think any idea using dribbling rain water will be good enough, be to slow and piss you off more than walking back to switch the hose on, my wife does ours in a morning and gets the dogs out the boiler house where they sleep.

    I took the pup pigeon shooting for a couple of hours on sunday, first thing she did was try and grab the worly lol, then pick the ones off the cradles, but after a while she was sitting in the hide loose and only going out with me to pick up, so another few trips she may make a handy pigeon dog as well, happy days.

    I left my last cocker pups a bit longer and thought I screwed up, but me and the bloke with the father both kept one and work some rely thick bramble, and have had no probs my bitch is small but has grown in to hers.

    I never built any stone kennels, but I did an extension on a house I built, and it turned into a bird box we got blue tits in a puggy hole, I have to point it up before spring i would go for block to.

    it is daft when people dream up names to make pups sound more appealing, but just look at all the regional terrier breads that all had a job once, there must of been hundreds, wonder if lads laughed at them.

    i was critical of swapping dogs the other day when he said he woks em till they cant hack it , and was told there his and he can do as he likes, now look, talk about changing tunes lol.

    sandymere I know we wont understand the dogs names etc, but how do they work out the breeding on paper, are they like pedigree papers showing champs etc.

    my pup now her first season is going very well.

    don't know weather there better or not, they certainly been around longer, but that means nothing, look at all the terrier breeds in this country all bred by working men to do a job, and they will of used the best dogs to best bitches, and their names to describe how they were bred as I am sure the arrab's did with saluki's.

    that's a smart pup sandy hope its a gooden , with regards to names our traditional coursing stock has a real deapth of breeding behind it you cant avoid names to tell how there bred, it will be no different with galgo peds in spain im'e sure.
