they don't look a very type'y bunch, the reason the men look so miserable is because it was a shit job for shit money like most countryside jobs at the time. -

a chap called sam Collins bought a first cross off me in the eighty's, and said ginger got that dog from them, don't know about the money or the breeding. -
to much collie for me mate but they little belters well done.

my wife had 2 one of witch I shot with and my daughter had one, none of them were quite right either lol.

your still better with a half cross it will do all the jobs a colly will and more.

I think your right katch most crosses can do most things with patience, but I personaly think people are getting all romantic and dewey eyed over this, heart ruleing head sort of thing, any old mongrel will catch the odd rabbit given enough chances, but if your a hunting man they have to fill the bag at the end of the day, so why handicap yourself.

I am not being negative to what your doing that's up to you, every time I breed a litter of cockers I consider very carefully my next move, I had until recently four generations down the bitch line I have used only studs I like work wise and whose blood makes it possible to widen my gene pool so I can bring back in a very good related dog, I have not bred a coursing dog for years I don't want to deal with the scum in the game at the moment, so I know its a bit different, but surely if you have been thinking about this for a while you must have more of a plan than see how this goes, if these ar

I seem to remember something about odd ones in Scotland being shot, and somebody having one in the freezer. my cast is nearly 4" and is circular the small cat tracks on it are the same shape.

my little pup will do that mate its good to have a dog like that, if one of mine goes missing for more than a minuet or two they bring back a bird every time, when I am waiting during a drive If like you said a bird comes back looking a bit dodgy if she looks at it, I let her go back then and as soon as its down she is on it, she did close to thirty days last season and never looked like wanting one off. I did favour her over the others, like if I saw a runner I always sent her, some days I might pic 50 -60 birds right back, that made the pup this season, I seldom go in and sweep up unless I g
