  1. probably both, but you bet your boots if there is trouble with dogs on a shoot it will be a black lab, I know there will be more black labs than anything else, but they cant even get on with each other lol.
  2. seen plenty of cuntish labs only dog that ever bit me was a lab the black basttard.
  3. the o p only mentions his lab, no consideration given to the grey at all, funny how that happens, we say allsorts about using distance greys only to add wind, or working one's, but truth be told 99 times out of a hundred any old grey is used, and they never get the blame for any faults that appear, the collie gets the blame for picking runs, saluki for bad recall, lol, when truth be told greys jack through no stamina, are incapable of multiple runs in quick succession, and often go deaf if they get loose, and can be terrible with other dogs, but nothing faster, katchum said they would make up
  4. my mate had one when we were kids he was cloddy but a decent dog, he did sing sometimes lol, there was another out the same litter that one was racier also decent, I was out one evening with the racy one and its owner I had 2 hares with my dogs, and I pounced on what I thought was a rabbit in the grass, quick as a flash tommy said il'e have the rabbit, but it turned out to be a leveret.lol
  5. regardless of the labs shape they will still be f1, and could be cloddy, same as collie f1s.
  6. that might be true, seen a lot of labs that think they coursing dogs lol, we used to course some ground where they used to have a huge hare population and had a hare shoot at the end of the season, all the lads that took part had been thrashing fook out their labs all season for chasing, then take em to a hare shoot lol.
  7. the meadow throws up new flowers every year this year its common vetch.
  8. we have been here before, I have seen a couple of decent ones, and they were the only ones I ever saw , but cleverer dog men than me have been trying different crosses for ever, and that might just be why we don't see so many gun dog crosses about.
  9. treat it like a ordinary lurcher and atb with it.
  10. whachadero is worse than a Scotsman for rearing up lol, I think he has a complex after spending to much time on here, lol
  11. I have never bothered or had any probs of any kind health wise, with my cockers, the bitch that just had pups is six, and her first litter, I like to know they are sound well tested workers before I breed any thing.
  12. I have these pups now, 8 all ok.
  13. not even had it a week blacky messing fkr.
  14. I was going to have it twice as big but bottled it cos of the amount of soil that came out, lol.
  15. how is he these days he helped me sort out some bloodlines, he is a friend of a friend seems a nice chap
  16. the bluebells are starting to spread nicely in my little effort.
  17. you say that about over running stuff all the time, and if what you saw did that then fair enough, but in 50 years running nothing else, I have seen allot of dogs run, and mine always held there own when out with lads using different crosses believe me, and its what I would go for, your right though some do over run stuff we used to call them fen dogs, fuccking useless any where else, if that's the type you saw then you aint seen a gooden.
  18. romeo throws decent stuff/ foxy/ Charlie lines seem sharp something like this might be ok.
  19. why's that mate, I used to mooch, ferret, course, mine for years never a problem, then I had a few years lamping a couple of nights a week and coursing Saturdays with do dramas even did that with a pure, but to be honest d.l you need one from a faster line, some of the lines can throw plodders, and they wont be sharp enough, for a bit of allsorts imho good luck.
  20. one day one of my girls came running to me and said the fuckking cat just caught a swallow, she was a bit exited lol, he jumped off the coal house roof and took it out the air.
