sad answers lads x box springs to mind

don't know if its mange or not but when I was a kid mine got mange and we mixed flower of sulphur and liquid paraffin and smeared it on cleared up in no time, I have never had it since.
-
tall order
-
lads are talking about lamps at 160 to 170 as being good value, and night vision units at thousands for spotting, yet moan like fk when someone asks a few hundred for a pup, which is the main piece to the puzzle.
-
or anything else doing that for that matter,
-
I never had permission as a kid and was pretty much left to it. what do you have now moonlighter.
-
plenty did I think mate, back in those dark and dismal times, lol
-
I like that bitch mate nice, but back in the day to suggest that there is nothing wrong with saluki in a rabbiting dog would of got you ridiculed in public by phils old school teacher
-
my mate got a cluson led lamp don't know what one its like my 170 one but while it has a nice beam all the eyes look the same colour and I think it makes foxes more skittish like it spooks em a bit.

the price is not important catch, what rattles my cage is folk saying they should only be this or that price. as though they are worthless disposable rubbish.
-
our left with the fancy suit its paul croft nice chap had some handy saluki whippets at one time. and a gun pack of hounds.
-
what value for the pleasure they give you over the years mate, priceless.
-
I am afraid I am going to have to stop reading threads about dog values, cos I cant get my head round how little people value a sporting companion that you could be working for 7 or 8 years, my old spaniel is 11years old and has done 10 seasons and I mean seasons not just coming along, a cocker back then was 4 or 5 hundred that's £50 a year and a lurcher is no les valuable.
-
working men earn some good money these days, that's not a days wage.
-
no one wants to pay much for a pup, but on the night vision thread lads are paying thousands for equipment to spot stuff before switching the lamp on.
-
I have seen little lamps like that at the shows not that one but similar whats the beam like compared to a normal size lamp.
-
I got one of the little pard ones from blackwoods that clips on the back of a scope I use it with a decent ir and I was watching a bloke walking a dog at 500 yards ish and if you knew him you would of recognised him, on its own 250 yards clear at 3x mag ok for spotting, and only about £400 without the extra ir.
-
I know what you meen, most I spent on a lurcher 250 most I selt em for 150, but a good well bred pup, sure give it your mate if you want, but charge what you want to a stranger, it your choice surely, like bear foot said I cant think of enough people I like to get rid of even a small litter lol.

if you mate any old dog to any old bitch willy-nilly and feed the bitch and let her do the rest pups are cheep to rear and should be priced accordingly , if you take time years of experience to make your choice of stud based on his working ability witch you have seen and taken in with your own eyes for several seasons, not five minuets or what someone else said is a good dog, and took into account its pedigree and how that compliments your bitch and therefore its offspring, sat up all night to make sure all is well with welping etc given them and your bitch the best care, food etc, wormers

how much are they and how far can you see with it clearly

fkn hell every things down to money with some folk, perhaps they are dear, but so is your your car, your fkn holiday, and fri night at the pub, but I sooner waist my money on a dog than any of the above.
-
I don't think he'd be mad not to, he knows what he's doing, but that's how I would go, had a few like that in my early years take some beating for a bit of every thing, this one was off a saluki lurcher to a non ped, 22" fast as a fast thing and game as a pitbull.
-
if you know what your at you can tell a pure from a cross and every pup he threw of the grey bitches met the spec ie no feather and no b and t lol. here are some feathered lurchers 3/4 bred one off boozers fred and one off him the one off fred was 8 months at the time and killed one that day. you can see these are lurchers.
