    Hi all, this has probably been discussed many a time with you guys but I'd really appreciate some advice. I have a 5 month old pup, dam being a col/ whip/grey x bed/whip, and sire being a Kelpie/whip. Ive never had a working lurcher before but did a lot of research into what mix is best for me and im giving him the best start i can. His training is going well and he's more than keen on retrieving skins, but when theres a running rabbit he doesnt really show much interest. I'm not really encouraging him as yet because of his age as I dont want him yipping when he starts work, but should he

    Handsome dog pal. I have a 5 month dog very similar looking, doing good with his training and retreiving skins so far, but not showing much interest in a running rabbit yet. Im under no Iillusion that he wont be working until next season but im worried hes not really showing interest yet. How old was yours when he showed first hunting signs?

    Hi, I have a 2 yr old collie x whippet dog and I'm having trouble getting him to pick up rabbits. He's well into the chase, getting right up onto them, but he's just not picking them up. Anybody have any tips? Would getting a skin and doing some retrieving with it help?
