Well I went out for my evening run along my local trail and put my foot in a rabbit hole and thanks to the little barstuards I am now on crutches for a month with a severely sprained ankle and tendons ? not impressed , will just be plinking at targets in the garden for a while! Atb Tom

Got a half day at work and I just happen to work 15 minutes from perm so after a "very tough decision" decided to get my boss to lock the rifle in his office where I know it's safe and going to head straight over after work. Happy days! Anyone else venturing out? Atb Tom

Just to lighten the mood I was once so constipated tried to force a poo and put so much into it that I burst a blood vessel in my eye

It didn't go as well as hoped , the wind was so strong it wasn't worth taking any sort of shot that wasn't very close range so I decided to go up to the woodland in search of squirrels and found a few that i introduced to some .22 hollow points , not a massive fan of eating squirrel so my friends owl has had them as a treat. And I may well have to take you up on the offer are you local to Somerset ? A couple of miles from Glastonbury, 4 miles from Hecks cider, 3 miles from Wilkins cider. Can't get any better than that! Just down the road in frome ! Will be in glasto doing the recycling along

I believe there has been a misunderstanding here, the wording of my question was obviously not clear , I was simply sat in the truck thinking I would love to be able to shoot a few areas I work in with permission , poachings not my thing, worked hard to get my permission as have most people , just wanted to clear up that in no way am I suggesting people should just take there rifle to work and poach , the answers I was hoping to get were along the line of David's where he is in a position to take his rifle to certain jobs . I'm not stupid enough to risk my rifle or a prison sentence I was just simply asking if anyone was in a position to do so themselves there was no mention of poaching what so ever ,in future I will keep trying to make conversation to other forums, Atb tom

Any of you get the opportunity to do a job where you can take the rifle to work? I work on the recycling lorries and today would be thee perfect day for it! All round the country lanes and there's game every where! Atb . Tom

Well, took the rifle out today for a few hours and there was hardly anything about a few pheasants which I don't shoot as the land is also used as a syndicate and I try to be respectful of that, had a good wander but it was blowing a gale so most shots were not worth taking the wind was that strong gusts up to 40 mph were predicted but I did visit the woodland and introduce a few squirrels to a .22 hollow point so my friends owl will be enjoying them. Got soaked but just enjoyed getting out, no photos unfortunately. But will be out again soon when the conditions get a bit better. Hope everyone

It was certainly worth the wait, had to do free labour work on the farm on days off for nearly a year to get it !

There are trees lining most fields and a good 6-7 barns/storage sheds dotted over the farm so plenty to choose from if nothing in the fields .
