I see mate. Have to admit I do have less digging when working jills think that's because a rabbit can kick a jill off but a hob has more weight and strength to keep hold. Not sure
Ye think I am going to give it a bash. Ferreting and lamping rabbits is what I mostly want out them and maybe others if bump into them. The collie is bred from a hill farm out of hard working dogs but its been trained and used for hunting ferreting bushing etc and has very high prey drive catching and retreiving. No herding with this collie grabs every time
On my shitty phone no pics at the moment. Will try get some over next couple days tho. Wouldn't mind odd Charlie or hare on lamp out of them to but mainly rabbits
Ye has cot a few lacks a tiny bit of pace here and there but she has a nice long backed athletic build. The lurcher is a real fast dog good on daytime hares an bambi
Saluki bull greyhound 27tts (racey) x pure working collie (works with ferrets and bushes for fun). Think the pups would be worthwhile rabbiting dogs on lamp and ferreting? Both parents are good dogs. Just after some opinions lads, cheers.
mainly just to catch bunnies mate. both parents are hard grafting sheep and cow dogs so should have the working brain. just hope be fast enough for bunnies
i lamp and ferret with my beddy bull greyhound and he os a great wee dog. the mrs has just bought herself a border collie pup just for a house dog from working farm stock and wondered if it would be of much use taking out lamping and ferreting etc? anyone had much luck with them?
