Ye will check with landlord, what bantams would be best for laying? They will be kept in coop and run so won't damage anything, neighbours should have no room to complain if there is no cockerel I would have thought?
We live in a housing scheme and wondered what the laws were on keeping a few hens in back garden (obviously in coop and run)?
Also would large fowl or bantams be best and what breeds/crosses mainly for eggs and the kids pets
Oh and I know a cockerel is a no no haha
I currently using a border collie great fun watching her crash through cover bunnies bolting everywhere and she gets the odd one would love to cross her with a bushing type dog think they would make brilliant pups out her but not sure what. Maybe terrier type to bring size down
Snap mate. Lined my best Jill who had 11 2 year ago but hasn't held last year or this year. Am gutted her belly is big and round but kits were due 2 week ago so must be phantom
There's a wee shook at bottom side of run that the water is swept out was thinking of digging it down a bit and filling with gravel???? how deep etc we talking for soak away?
Ye heard about jeyes fluid. Got bleach (domestos) here so will give it a try. Out of interest do yous use hot or cold water? I've always just used cold
Cheers lads there's no drain or that just on concrete slabs sweep out onto grass so hopefully soak away fine. Not used to this living in schemes always been out in the sticks where nothing to worry about
