Same same. Fields from air arms are shocking. The same with exacts I think. There just to soft. Been posted before. Great pellet when there good, but they have to be babysitted in the tin. As an edit, I think there made at the same place so I hear. Not surprising that both are the same.

Hi all. Just a quick update that I've successfully installed a v-Mach kit this morning into my 98. It's a flaming miricale that I've managed it but took me time, cleaned, lubed up, followed instructions and it's worked out for the damn better I must say. No twang, smoother cocking, 1 finger kinda thing, more of a 'nudge' on recoil too. I've ended up placing three pre load washers in, now running at a super 11.3, which I'll have to watch when it all settles in. To all those that haven't yet, or are indeed contemplating a kit, do it. Whatever kit you choose, it'll make a sound rifle even be

Surprising post mate. Might be worth a strip down. I don't own an AA myself, but I'm sure a more experienced internals member will have an idea of what's going on. You bought both at the same time?!
-
A petition to AA... Now theres an idea... How many would we need? On a serious level. Probably would need some pre-orders mind.
-
Always on hand to answer my thoughts man. Nice one.

Would a tx stock, particularly a hc, fit a pro sport action? Is it like for like other than the obvious? I'd love a pro sport, but being left handed it seems the only way to work it.

Wankers. Apologies. Language... but we all feel the same admins.

Have you done it before andy? How would I know when you say run it off 10.5 10.8 without rebuilding it first? I was told today at the hft club that the v-Mach springs can be a bit large and should always be cut down, naturally with no experience with the cutting of springs correctly, how do I know how much to take off? It's a bit of a mine field the art of fitting/tuning the internals of a HW from what I have heard.. Everyone's got a better way, and I don't mean you andy at all, Ive got lots of ideas of what to do, but I guess the experience of doing it myself will only keep me happy, but

Nice one Skot.

What made you make the decision not to use any can I ask?

Hi all. I've ordered a v-Mach tuning jobby from mr pope today and plan on fitting it myself. I have read and watched much on YouTube about it and I'm happy, at the moment with the process. Naturally I hear a lot about them running a tad hot within the rifles when they settle in and wondered how many preload washers I should start with when re building the rifle..? I'd like it to settle @ 11.2-5 ish and ideally would love to get it right first time. I'm fitting it to my 98 btw in .177. I see that most use two or three. Is it the more you use the less fpe? Thanks in advance.

The one that you feel is best... Scope choices are everyones different taste. Menace 4-14x44 on my 98. Nothing too heavy would help.
-
Trophies for me. But all the usual... Exacts, AA fields etc etc. I mentioned earlier in another post though about both the later are unusually "soft". Sweet kit though.

Nice one man. Thanks for the reply. So I go ahead and get a standard v-Mach kit sorted within the rifle itself and look at the glide system as a kinda stage 2? Spoke to mr pope today as it happens, very informative indeed. I was gonna get a Mach kit from him sent to Ray Walker for implementing. I'd be happy for someone who knows the process of tuning the rifle this way but naturally, I'm kept back by the saying 'if you want a job done... Do it yourself' but I just don't have the know how to make the job as good as I'd like it to be and I'm perhaps forced into allowing someone else do the j

Hi all. Springer internals novice question here, but whats the differences between the v-mach and v-glide components? What is what and why is one better than the other? Toying with the idea of sorting my 98 with one or the other myself... It'll go wrong but there is only one way to figure it all out.

Could the pressure have dropped if it hasn't been used for a while. Even with full fill. Is it indeed at its sweet spot shot wise?
-
"Although the skirts seems to bend so easily!!" Ive found this myself, same with exacts to be honest. Just when a few dropped onto the study carpet from about 3ft high. Using Trophies now. Better all round I think.

Jesus Christ that's a nice mk1.

Ha. The topic title gets the hits mate. I was actually ment to upload a different set of images... But my head would be on the choppin block... The other one

Question For Anyone Who Hunts With A Single Shot Air Rifle.
Rez replied to pie-eater's topic in General Airgun Discussion
What rifle are you shooting mate? If you have a rubber plate on the butt, you can drop a .22 in between the lattice of the rubber section. One in each hole, enough for about 20 shots. The old john darling did this bless him. -
Both eyes open my man. Dodgy right eye, so I shoot left handed and always have done, I am right handed mind. I've thought about adding a little mount in front of the rear mount to put the old mind at rest. Will keep you informed skot. @ edit. Nice one

Tis indeed. You've made me think if I am actually, when shouldering the rifle, having my chops to far forwards, but I dont think I am, Im shouldering it in the most natural way [just done it now - have to check these things] and it just feels right. From your image, it looks like your the other way round, your lens has been positioned further back, and the mount over the area for the pins, not that your using them, whereas I need mine further away. But Im quite happy with the fact that it'll be fine without the security of the pin in place. Theres a feather on your butt too
